Happened to me many many times.

just like someone was saying, just rent + reallocation itself to be put into consideration, i would need at least 110- 115K before I would even consider moving for a job. If i was making 50k sureeee 100k would be great, but if you're making 80k+, making 100k is nothing considering the taxes and the actual take home income.
Wait, what...? When push comes to shove going to work usually sucks no matter where you have to drive or transit to. You'd turn down a job because it's 30 minutes each way? It would take longer to get to DT Vancouver. And rain, darkness etc? You'd be dealing with that shit anywhere you have to go. Falling asleep at 7:30 am? If you've fallen asleep many times while driving, you shoulsn't be behind the wheel of a car. That's worse than drunk driving.

OP: I drove from Chilliwack to Surrey for work for 2 years working at 6am, and then 2 more years at 9am. Never fell asleep, and it was well worth the hour drive each way.

I had coworkers who travel for 2 hours each way for a 12-hour shift to make ends meet in order to provide for their respective famlies. Now, that's dedication! 45 minutes of commute is a walk in the park in comparison.
