generally if you try hard in the class, as in you hand it your stuff and show-up to class, the prof will know your name as they tend to get to know their students. (100 students are not actually that hard to recognize) chances are you'll get full marks

taking some part-time courses at BCIT. Where are some cheap or good locations for parking a car for night time classes at the NE1 building?

I don't think impark checks at night.. But if you're around that area you can probably get a spot that was paid for earlier in the day

2 hour lectures are boring as fuck

Impark does check at night. You still have to display a ticket at night. Last semester I tallied 3 tickets during night parking around NE1 in the A2 parking lot listed below.

Do you find that for people coming straight out of highschool, it is harder?
How many people in your program are from HS, which one are you in now?

No, we just have xmas break 1 week later(dec. 18) and then write our finals January. We then have a break Jan. 11 - 28th before the next semester, and we catch up with everyone else during spring break. IT SUCKS

which option are you in right now? I finished entrepreneurship last year and I believe that there's only a 5 course difference between the two programs.

I am taaking entrepreneur also, its 7/8/6/11 courses each semester, uh there are 2 taking it str8 out of highschool in my set and I am taking it after a year off, most ppl I know wished they took a year off to relax but its ur personal choice, do you feel exhuasted from highschool? If so take some time off, if u are not too sure of what you wanna achieve in the future as an occupation, take ur time also. I was torn between business and writing but I decided to take the safer route and I am enjoying it atm.

IMO alot of students that are straight out of highschool have a really hard time adjusting to the work loads at bcit. However if youre the type of student who always gets their work done early, gets help right away, and can easily say no to distractions you might be ok

I need a Upass too. What pisses me off is at Langara and SFU if you even take 1 class.. you get a Upass. I don't get why BCIT does not have this?

Least BCIT can do is put in a limit say 3 classes min for part time students to get a UPASS.

BTW if you guys can.. complain to the Student Union. The new referendum is coming up soon and we might be able to get it added in for part time students.

I'm screwed, because I am a fulltime student, but my program is only offered as a part time study. So even if I take 4+ courses I still get no UPASS.

And a 2 zone bus pass is expensive!
