I was 19 when my parents found out, and they were upset. I believe they found my stash. My mom actually cried because she thought I was on the road to ruin. Being Chinese, there wasn't really any way I could convince my parents that it wasn't as bad as they imagined. They eventually eased up, when they saw I was getting ahead in life, and still sharp as a tack. They still didn't want me smoking it, but they accepted that I did.
When I had a couple plants growing in the basement, my dad went and watered them for me. Too bad they were all hermaphrodites, and splooged on themselves, causing seeds to grow.
10 years later, my mom still asks me, from time to time, if i'm still smoking weed. I say, "yah", and she just, nonchalantly, says, "try to cut down". I just say, "OK", and that's it. Haha!

yeah its understandable how asian parents would go crazy
look at all the honger/taiwanese celebrities that were caught with weed, they had to do time in prison + rehab!
i've never tried it myself and doubt i ever will but its not because i was worried about my parents (friends do it 24/7 and they've never once pressured me; i think its a cop out when ppl blame their friends instead of just admitting they wanted to)

Sweet story. My parents will never be as liberal as that..
My mom actually fainted when she first found my stash when i was 16. I show her all the documentaries scientific facts etc. All I got in respond was, that nice but if its really not harmful like you say than why is every country except holland has ban it 
I give up arguing with her. She had a even bigger breakdown when she discover i got tattoo up. I had to literally use a few months to convince her tattoo does not equal i'm in a gang.
Now that i had few experience of my rents discover the other "unapproved" side of me, they are taking new shit relatively well. But still anything illegal is still a no no. They know what going on but refuse to acknowledge it.
Doesn't help that rents were ex po po back in mainland

Just about everybody back in my day smoked weed. We're talking the 60's here. Weak stuff, mind you, by today's standards. If I had found a stash at home, I guess I would ask before rolling one up. After all, it's meant for sharing. LOL.
Problem is, I don't think any of my kids are into that shit. I would know if they were, 'cause I can smell that shit better than any drug sniffing dog.
