Also forgot to mention the shifter doesnt mount without the screws. Might aswell buy them from Home De pot as they are $0.39ea and it makes everything more stable.

From what i remember, i didn't heel toe aswell cause i didn't think it made a difference rev matching in the game. 2nd, the middle pole was there. Looking at the picture, the setup is fully adjustable, so it shouldn't be any issue with your knee hitting your steering wheel.

just double checked, everything is EXACTLY the same as playseat except the seats are different and they come seperate, so you would need to bolt on i guess. I got one that was already bolted on, cause i picked up the demonstration unit that he usually shows to people.
unfortunately, that pole is necessary for the steering wheel itself to be firm and steady. If you want something more, then your best going with a different design that will probably cost more.

If the pole was adjustable in going up or down instead of telescoping it would be a lot better. Cause i find the tilt plate for the wheel doesnt go high enough so its always an awkward position. Pretty much if you offset the pedals another inch to the right then your heel toe wouldnt be an issue.

The length is adjustable to adjusts the height of different users, but at the same time, the weight when you sit on it puts weight on the links to make it firm enough. If the height of the stand was adjustable, theres only the steering wheeel itself that puts weight, so i dooubt it'd be steady/firm enough imo

We should get a list going for GT5, since they're going to have a feature where you can have track days. It'd be nice to have a race between all the people who own steering wheels + seats |

Custom building a collapsible one isn't easy or cheap. Just materials alone will come close to that, then you factor in time. No worth it.
I was hoping someone local would sell the stands alone.

I was hoping someone local would sell the stands alone. | I was inquiring to him, and he said he can sell the frame seperately...

When he demo'd me the seat he had to put it together and while he was getting parts I had a look at the front piece to test the wobble as a member said in this thread. and it really was. The chair stables it more though.

It will, 2 separate pieces. In my 4 door rolla, had to put the front part in the trunk and the seat on my back seats. You should also be getting 2 size allen keys and 4 pieces to the shifter plus 2 of the black knobs with threaded piece. Dont know what its called, but its for the shifter.

Noob question but this actually comes with the seat itself, or you have to buy that separately?

^ comes with a chair. Chair is quite comfortable.
ok. i just picked it up from his house. there was one already assembled and one unassembled in a box. I took the one that was already assembled. Pretty nice guy. I asked him to assemble the gear shift holder. He told me I needed to buy m6 screws to mount the g27 onto the seat. Other than that, the quality of the entire seat is pretty good. i may take some pics of it tonight.

Nothing is flimsy its pretty rock solid. But if you plan on picking one up you might aswell buy the m6 bolts because you will need them anyway. If you dont then you will not be using your shifter that is a guarantee.

You will need 6x M6 screws as instructed by the seller. i used 10/12mm bolts not sure which as i just did trial n error with the pile of bolts that i have.
Make sure to have him assemble it on the spot cause there was one piece that broke off, he replaced it, but if i had to go back to his place just to pick up one little piece, it'd be sucha pain!
Another thing that you will need is a bunch of spacers or a nut because one of the bolts that screws onto the pedal heel part is too long and it hits the metal piece...look at my first pic and look at the nut i screwed on, you will have to do that if you want everything to be nice n steady
All in all in was a good purchase, and off course, pics as promised!
I just found out g27 cant use paddle shifters in gt5 prologue

Do you find the base annoying? I didnt use it since that one screw was being blocked and plus I like it without the base. More foot room...
Damn you sit close to your wheel.
