Illegally parked cop car gets booted... by citizens

A clever two-bit Guy Fawkes attached a parking boot to the wheel of an LAPD squad car yesterday. Firefighters eventually removed the parking restraint in between bouts of uncontrollable laughter.

lol that's awesome

I'd rather a cop park illegally and respond to whatever call they are attending to ASAP than driving around looking for a parking spot.

flagella 09-14-2010 11:50 PM

Who doesn't? And how many times when a cop flashing its light to go through a red light or parking in a illegal spot rushing to an emergency? or instead saving time to get their donuts?

The7even 09-15-2010 04:50 AM

hopefully when youre bleeding to death, they never get to you in time because their car is booted. good luck moron.

SkinnyPupp 09-15-2010 05:13 AM

its good to me, as long as the ambulance or at least firefights get here... cops dont know how to stop bleeding.. they cause the bleeding...

Psb1 09-15-2010 05:39 AM

Anyone think the picture is photo shopped? I watched the tv show Parking Wars and the boots are usually yellow colored. And isn't it illegal to tamper with Police equipment?
Story sounds fake or at least over exaggerated..

elwell 09-15-2010 06:05 AM

Wouldnt matter what colour the boot is. And parking wars is lame

there are different ways of driving to a scene.
It all depends on the call.
all of us are familair with the usual full lights and sirens
however, there are also calls that require cops to get there as fast as they can; but not use the full lights and sirens. However, they still need to get there so they "bypass" the red light.

dont be ignorant and dish out retarded comments

If it's a domestic dispute or a situation that their presence could make the suspect become violent and cause harm to people they won't go in fully lit. All they do is blip the sirens/lights every now and then so people get out of the way. Half the time they start to respond to a call and are told to stand down because another unit is closer.

This may be true. But, I've seen cops sit at red lights besides me for a few moments and then out of no where lights go on they ride thru the red light and then they turn their lights off. Explain that to me smartypants.

Well, if that was the reason, then normal citizens should be allowed to go through a red light if they needed to take an emergency shit.

how the heck would you know what their reasons were......

flagella 09-15-2010 04:31 PM

^I fucking don't know smartass. I'm just saying it's a possibility rofl. Seriously, you park at a red light, and there's a cop beside you. All of a sudden he flashes his light and pass the intersection, turns it off, and drive slowly again. What's the first thing that comes to your mind? Oh fck he's on an emergency to save some ppl?

jpark 09-15-2010 04:57 PM

It's likely that they just got a call like the examples in the posts right above yours, dumbass.

or they could prevent it altogether by protecting your stupid ass... but I think i'd prefer the cop not getting there first and instead having you die in the ambulance on the way to the hospital due to blood loss, because paramedics could've stopped those gunshot wounds from happening.

I was making a left with my scooter last week, and I almost got laid out.

It was a narrow last minute brake for me.
The light went from yellow to red, and all all the cars slowed down to a stop, including said vehicle, then all of a sudden, it floored it to run the red.

Vehicle in question was an ambulance.

oh the ironing that would have ensued had it tossed me 20 ft into the air.

ninjatune 09-15-2010 09:19 PM

If only you could ride along for one shift, you'll see why we drive the way we need to sometimes.

police use the amazing invention of a dispatch system.

ever think they are sitting at a light like everyday normal people, and they got dispatched to a call?
