Best Clam Chowder

Anyone know where I can find the best clam chowder in Vancouver?

Lately, I've been reminiscing the great chowders I've had at Fisherman Wharf's in SF, the ones that come in the sourdough bread bowls. If you've had them before, you know exactly what i'm talking about. If you know any place in Vancouver that serves chowder as good as those ones, please let me know.

I had the ones at Rodney's Oyster Bar awhile back and it was awful.

I remember having this great clam chowder at The Only, but that was 20 years ago when I was still a kid. I'd love to know any other places around here that serve a good clam chowder. Mind you, not the Manhattan style either.

I didn't think the clam chowder at Boudin was great. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't blow me away or anything. Pretty typical clam chowder imo. I think Ivar's might even be better, but I haven't been there in awhile.

I really liked the chowder at Coast. The only downside was it was a bit salty. But all the food that day was salty so I am hoping it was one off.

If you have not gone to Shady Island Grill (Steveston) and tried their Mom's seafood chowder, you are missing out.

Am I the only person that enjoys Manhattan clam chowder more than New England? I can't seem to find Manhattan style anywhere.

I don't know if the keg has it yet but I remember having clam chowder there a couple years ago and it was AMAZING. I believe they had it on a thursday as a special soup of the day.
