Where to buy lenovo laptops?

I've been doing a lot of research as to what laptop to buy for school. I am most interested in lenovo thinkpads but you can only order them online from their website.

is there any stores here that sell them? i would really like to see the laptop in person before spending $700+

thanks

I remember the UBC Bookstore carrying a few models last year (x201 tablet ), but I am unsure as to whether they still carry them. You could phone them up.

i couldn't find anybody that sold lenovo locally either. So I relied on google reviews and pictures, then purchased from their website.

When purchasing, don't forget to check these sites first for deals/coupons (Lenovo always has sales)

NCIX sells Lenovo but I have no experience purchasing one from them. Good luck!

I've found that ordering from lenovo.com/ca is usually cheaper. Keep checking redflagdeals for online coupons.
I bought a R61 about 3 years ago, knocked down the price from 19xx before tax to 13xx before tax all thanks to redflagdeals.
I was about to pull the trigger on a T410 a couple of weeks ago, knocked down the price from 22xx before tax to 14xx before tax also all thanks to redflagdeals.
I find that online, especially with coupon, the price for lenovo thinkpads are astronomically cheaper than from any store locally. My friend bought a T410 about a month ago, with worse specs than the one I had built for 23xx at NCIX.

Formerly IBM, which was known for their ""ThinkPad" series business line - Excellent build quality, great feeling keyboard and the pioneer of the "trackpoint" that you see in most of today's laptops (the little nubby that controls the mouse)

EDIT: Forgot to mention the little keyboard light they all have

ThinkPads are bombproof (figuratively).

You can drop them from ~3-4 feet and they won't die.

i'm not too sure about their "ideapad" line, though...that's their attempt to hit the mainstream with a typical plastic and flashy laptop.

I just ordered mine online during the 35% off sale. I've used Lenovo's perviously so I already knew what to expect.

I have a 2 year old IdeaPad U330. It's pretty average in terms of specs, and I doubt it could stand the same beating a ThinkPad could. But it was the most stylish/decent spec laptop in my price range at the time. For average consumer laptops, I think Dell and other factory brands are a better buy than an IdeaPad.

The IdeaPad is Lenovo's mainstream offering to the masses, meanwhile the ThinkPad is somewhat more of a niche market IMO.

I believe this discount only applies if the laptop is over $1600.
