like take off too late? cant dunk? cant pass by ur opponent? lol shooting awkwardly? | Heh For some reason it was only outputting 720p before.
I set it to 1080p last night and it's better now.
Still, don't like the jagged edges. If it wasn't for the better controllers I would rather game on PC.
It's been a while since I played NBA so I am still getting used to the controllers. I have no complaints about dunks or passing. It's more realistic this way. If you like to dunk every second offensive play then maybe NBA Live/Elite or JAM would be better?
Passing is harder for sure, almost 90% cross-court passes fail. Again, it's a little frustrating but I don't mind this. I just have to get better at swinging the ball.
I tried to do the "My Player" mode last night and I had a hard time getting a good team mark. Kinda drove me nuts. I still need to get more familiar/used to the controls.
Anyways, I hope I won't get bored/too frustrated in a couple weeks would like to play a few seasons or build up my player.

well i dont have a problem with dunk, but if you want to talk about being realistic...
how is it using any high flyer dunkers like nate/james/wade/ hell even jordan
steal the ball go on a fast break urself, and the freaking dude takes off just right outside the restriction line. They should be able to take off AT LEAST half way from the foul line...
2k10/9/8 were all like that.
well 2k8 u can literally take off from the foul line LOL using lebron

Here's my review of this game after playing for a bit
Pros:
1.JORDAN mode- this is probably the deepestttt mode ever in a sports game.. The graphics are insane and since its a game from back in the day... the graphics feels like its "dated" too... lol....and I also enjoy doing MJ's right to left hand lay up lol..
2. Online mode seems better this year too (compare to last year)
3. Gameplay is surreal..I love the alley oops... the follow up dunks... and the Computer AI is awesome...i.e. they run a play for the center if somehow my point guard got a switch..... I love the blocking too..
4. Graphics are superb and arenas aren't always "full".. i.e. Milwaukee bucks lol.. ..they even have a nice "player of the game" thing too.
I also enjoy dunking and then running into the mop boys and run them down lol.
Cons:
1. Dribbling... I wish they could have a new system for it...Takes time to get used to it.
2. I wish we could use the old school teams online. but not a big deal as I'm sure everyone would just use the bulls lol
I think this is my only issue so far.. if I find anymore I don't like, I'll post it here.
If you are a big bball fan and want a "SIM" type, this game is a MUST... I highly recommend it.
If you guys like the run and gun style and dunking all the time then wait for NBA ELITE... If it ever comes out lol

Anyone finished the Jordan Challenge? Having trouble doing the "Shrug Game" limiting Drexler to under 20 points is hard. Game is great they really improved the online ranked game play compared to 2K10, out of the 15 games I've played online only one of them wasn't against the Heat.

nononononoo
i absolutely HATE LIVE, its pure garbage
chunky movement, easy shooting etc
im a dedicated fan for 2k basketball no joke
a die hard fan since 2k5 till 10
but 11 im really really not use to it
already play 5-6hrs
and i really cant dig the concept, infact im more frustrated than any 2k series i had
BTW im actually not flaming the fuck out of it like i normally do in other threads
i was so excited and looking forward to this game, but ......
i think its gonna take me another 5-10 hrs to maybe give another rating
graphic there is definitely an improvement
just the gameplay..... i dont know

I love this game. Still getting used to the ISO motion controls but they take time to learn. Also the AI has been improved so you'll get burnt if you play shitty D. This year is a totally new game. I have friends that played all star on previous 2k's and are having a hard time with this because they made the AI smarter. I suggest to go into practice and learn the iso moves down pat and also post moves. I did them for a good hour and am doing fine. Having no issues with passing, shooting or dunking. I'm only playing on pro for now but will turn up the difficulty once I have everything down.

I played it for the first time a few nights ago, playing as the classic teams is sweet, I played as the 96 Sonics as they were my favorite team back when I was young. Too bad they ran into the Bulls in the Finals and never made it back after that.

Don't try to keep stealing the ball. Just stay in front of the player and force them into a bad shot. What difficulty you playing?
