Keep on waiting~ you're pretty much screwed if he does follow up. The human eye can't see a license plate that's 5 houses away though.

Was there a patrol car and was it facing your car? Not sure if there is a camera recording the event.

Heres a Question:
If you have live in a location that doesn't have street address's. (IE Island in the northern Gulf island) however it has a PO box.. you have a Drivers license, your car is registered to that location.. There is no Police Presence on the island.. how would a cop deal with this in the lower mainland.. If i ran from the cop,. Like the OP.
The Cop has my Plate number. Lots it up, and its a PO box on an island up north.. Car is legaly insured/plated but to that location...

now to add to this say you dont have the correct phone number attached to your ICBC account.. so aside from going to the post office on the remote island, the cop has no way to get ahold of you what-so-ever..

(If this is 2 much off topic mah bad.. )
(Note i have never run from the police, just wondering)

Your plate will be flagged, better hope an officer never runs your plate or you'll have to run again. Your insurance will probably be flagged as well, so good luck renewing.

There was a patrol car that was facing us when we drove off, that's why I'm so nervous.

SO far there hasn't been any unfriendly mail that I've heard of. Must of been really lucky to not get caught like that, I'm guessing the car would have been impounded due to the new speeding laws

This isn't funny it's really stupid and it's people like your friend that are making the roads worse for everyone else. If he can't make a smart decision in that situation, and I mean by driving even remotely close to the limit in a SCHOOL ZONE, I hope darwin claims him next and cleans up the gene pool.
Or who knows, I hope he remembers this if Karma comes around and his kids get hit by a car by some dumb kid late for school.

Why do I think you're taking this lightly? Use of "ha ha, LOL" really isn't appropriate with what your friend did.
Please grow up, both of you.
And in what way was I laughing about my friend driving off? Yeah I realize what happened. If i was just sitting here laughing about my friend getting into sh*t then I wouldn't be here posting about it. And no I'm not taking it lightly, just happens to be the way I type. Posting here to ask for some help, not your opinion on how I'm taking this or what should happen to my friend.
Can't say that I'll ever ride in his car again going to school though.. Usually when I'm in the car I don't notice him going over the speed limit, but then again I haven't gotten a ride from him when we were in a rush except that morning

My friend stepped heavy on the brakes, but ended up going 45km/h when we reached the cop. So of course the cop goes crazy, waves his arms in the air and signals us to turn left into the intersection he was standing by. My friend drives in, and the cop slowly followed by foot. Worse thing to do I think.. my friend just drives off and the cop didn't really follow. We did drive past his car that was parked in the intersection, faced towards us so does anyone know what would happen now?
nothing should happen unless he got your liscence plate, even then you could just say you were late for school if they come to your house and they'll just give you a regular speeding ticket

So it's Ok to run from the Police to avoid prosecution? Interesting parallel universe you live in.

It's a lot easier to get away if they're carrying walkie-talkies instead of guns, too...
