Sony Customer Care

Anyone knows what sony customer care is like? how hard would it be to talk them into replacing a xbr9 TVi bought back in jan.. and was gonna return it coz of hdmi audio issue.. but was told the firmware releasing in a few weeks was gonna fix it.. firmware released.. didn't fix.. out of the damn refund period.. waited for the next firmware which states fixes the hdmi audio issue.. i think it's even worse than before.. the technical support is fuking useless.. tells me to reset the TV back to factory each time.. any chance of me talking them into giving me a new TV or even a newer model? coz it's a known issue/firmware problem.. and they are like dragging it on til my warranty runs out in a couple of months.. the solution rite now they tell me is to stick with component cable.. which is retarded.. i hate having so many cables and who's paying for the component cables?

If you called about warranty before they should have you on file.. Atleast this way you have proof the issue existed before the refund period.. Just fight it and hope they cave in.

usually u have to send them a message explaining the processes you've already gone through and when they ignore it and tell you the same thing

you reply with a condescendingly aggressive remark which gets the next tech rep to actually read your emails and respond with something new and likely helpful

i dunno occasionally the audio will become intermittent thru HDMI output. i think it's only on the 32" that it's a problem. if u search online you'll see it. even the latest firmware. one of the fix on it saids addresses hdmi audio problems. so it's known to them already
