Integra MPG vs Civic So I'm looking at a 94 integra LS, with no vtec. How does the MPG compare to a 96 Civic CX (no vtec). I'm getting 550-600km+ easy per tank on my 96 cx. Is it same goes for the LS? I think LS non-vtec is 1.8L engine. Anyone know? thx. |
^ I had the b18b engine (94 LS) in my del sol before. Even though it was burning oil, it still managed to get 40+kms per gallon. I'd say that you'd hit a little less per tank than your CX. It shouldn't be anything to worry about though. |
Yes, you will notice a difference. The civic is about 24% more efficient. 31 mpg vs 25 mpg http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/12609.shtml http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/10678.shtml |
25% that's alot.... So i get 450ish km per tank? that's like S2000, RSX-S kinda mpg.... |
on the plus side you will have decent torque but if all you want is fuel efficiency stick with your civic :) |
civic engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_D_engine#D16Y7 integra engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine#B18B1 24% sounds about right considering how many more horses/torque and displacement you're getting |
if you want a fuel efficient car in the same price range, go look for the 1992 honda civic VX Rated at 43 MPG, which is about 39% more efficient than your current vehicle |
