new computer store just a heads up for the computer ppl on here, there is a new computer store in richmond called http://www.memoryexpress.com/ opening up. According to the website their price match policy seems really good, 5% of the total price. more competition with NCIX :D |
they are advertised on the beat as well. |
wow they have a good variety of parts. prices are pretty decent too. |
Ive had good experiences with MemoryExpress' in Edmonton. Friendlier and more knowledgable than NCIX. I hope its the same with this new location. |
definitely friendlier, not sure about more knowledgeable though they need to expand the PM thing to online ordering as well. then NCIX will have some stiff competition. from my own experience when i was living in calgary, they weren't as willing in terms of PM-ing. we'll see how open they are in vancouver. |
saw it on rfd..good stuff hope they open a store in burnaby too |
So does ncix do price matching??? Posted via RS Mobile |

Nice! I'm building a new computer right now from ncix. Anyone experienced with how ncix works? If I tell them that another store is willing to give me 5% off total. How much will they offer back??? I've picked out the parts, shud I try to narrow down the stores that carry it cheaper and show them where and how much discount is offered??? Posted via RS Mobile |
wow they sell a lot of different stuff. Tvs too. |
it doesn't work like that. you have to prove them an ad and show them.. you can't just say OH, abc company is offering 50 % off and assume they will just do it... |

Hope you dont have to wait 15-30mins just to get parts and invoice. When picking up NCIX is horrible for this. |

also for NCIX pricematching. the ad you show them or wherever the source is, they MUST also have it in stock. |
nice, NCIX stopped having good deals for a while. Some comeptition to spice things up. |

Why would they price match a competitor when you can't even go there to buy it? |
bottom line, it all comes from the same place and ncix and memx both gets the same ass pricing. the 5% is just a marketing tool to generate more business. 90% of hte time, FS and BB have exclusive models in which memx and ncix doesn't have and vice versa, so if you're expecting to buy a huge 70 in samsung tv with all the bells and whistle... and want to get 5% off.. you're not going to have any luck. the two company has two separate business model. memx is based out of alberta, and they are CE focused. NCIX is online based and if you want, go and do research and pick up what you want and just pick up. totally diff culture at both company and both of them operate separately. |

Memory Express is famous in Calgary abd Edmonton.. Its the NCIX over there... im glad they branched out here... |
Just there...originally thought that the huge lineup was for the entrance but actually it was just the lineup for free burgers. Staff there were generally pretty good to talk with, nice and friendly. They are on commission, but weren't pushy. Lots of TVs on display and also lots in stock. Picked up some RAM for cheap. 6GB Patriot DDR3 for $75...not too shabby. |
ahh shit. Grand Opening is today. Free Burgers and drinks |
dealt with memory express in when i was still living in edmonton and built my cpu then. very very friendly and gave good opinions. hopefully the one in richmond has the same type of staff |
