If you guys had a small butane torch you could heat the glass of the downstem and angle it so the bowl was flat.... just saying...

this was a last night want to get it done version. i just put in a rubber grommet and a bowl. in the next day or 2 i will be buying a stem that i will then angle in to hold it in a better position, we just used our thumbs to hold it on the poper angle....its just doing that cause its only in a hole with a grommet. works crazy good...super cool.

sometimes when you get excited and are limited on parts at 9pm, you do what you goto do to get it to work. still got a couple finishing touches :P

Couldnt you just use a small torch to heat up the glass to make it air tight instead of using silicon.. Not sure how safe silicon is when breathed in..

did some research before i actually did it. after the silicone cures there is no smell whatsoever. and should be perfectly safe.
