Road rage self-ownage.

I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help but chuckle at this idiot. Chalk up another one for Darwin!

Does it still count if they've already reproduced?

Soundy 10-03-2010 10:19 PM

Gets them an honorable mention, at least.

hk20000 10-03-2010 10:21 PM

hahahhaha it's too complex for them to comprehend what's "a kink on the road"

subordinate 10-03-2010 10:28 PM

This doesn't really count as road rage. The biker just wanted to give the kid a ''hey kid, learn to drive'' stare. The same stare one might give in the movies, to people behind them who are talking.

1exotic 10-03-2010 10:35 PM

lol if you wanna call that road rage, I must be a road rage psycho compared to this guy.

Are you telling me you've never signaled to change lanes, moved over a bit, shoulder-checked and go "OH SHIT" and swerve back? The 17-year old wasn't intending to run them over... lots of people make little slip-ups like that.

:bullshit::bullshit::bullshit::bullshit:

c32 10-04-2010 07:50 PM

honestly i dont remember doing it, but probably did once when i was 17, but maybe not though... i always shoulder checked from day one... now i dont even bother shoulder checking when i know a car is not there cuz there is no point, just a way to break my neck..

On the other hand how freaked out and/or pissed off do you think you'd be if you were on a motorcycle, and someone started crossing into your lane without looking?

Those motorcyclists could just as easily been smears on the side of the kid's truck. And I bet if that happened, it wouldn't have even made the news.

GabAlmighty 10-04-2010 08:19 PM

Road rage? Wow... You're duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb

What kind of fucked up shoulder checking are you doing to "break your neck?"

I would've been quite pissed and freaked out. I've had that happen to me (being nearly run into by stupid lane-changers) quite a lot, and I hate it, which is why I always drive defensively. Get out of someone's blind zone as quick as you can; either overtake or slow down so that you're not going to be a surprise for the other driver.

As a motorcyclist, you should be aware that you present a much smaller profile than another car, and you should ride even more defensively. Staring at the other driver to show your anger after the fact is also a stupid move to do.

This would not have been on the news, and we would not be having this argument, if the motorcyclist had not stared at the kid for "road rage" and paid attention to the road instead. I'm not saying the kid isn't at fault for the initial situation, just that the rider compounded it and made it worse by his actions, ultimately leading to his demise.

You shoulder check BECAUSE you don't know if a car might be there. A car might have sneaked up on you while you were looking forward - unless you have eyes in the back of your head... And how are you shoulder checking so hard you break your neck?

Like this?

The TV story had the biker "glaring" at the kid... which sounds a lot more likely to me, since just a "look" probably would have taken a couple seconds and he would have turned his attention back to the road in time to see the curve. If the idiot didn't see the curve coming up, he probably had his attention on the kid for quite awhile, and probably putting more attention into that than into the road... which I'd say qualifies as "road rage".

GabAlmighty 10-04-2010 09:49 PM

What's the muscle difference between a stare and a glare? Coulda seemed like a glare if he was squintng, due to the wind hindting his face or if the the sun was in his eyes and he scrunched up his face.

This is seriously fucking stupid.
