FS: Logitech Z-5300 5.1 THX-Certified 280W RMS Surround Speaker System

Used regularly and with absolutely no issues for 6+ years. Speakers are in excellent condition, cleaned/dusted regularly.
Perfect for a PC for all typical and atypical audio activities.

Music playback is very natural and full spectrum. For what it's worth, the speakers are THX-certified. This alone is what I spent most of my time using these speakers for and it was absolutely worth it. You can crank it surprisingly high with these guys and have no distortion while still maintaining great fidelity. Similarly at low levels, the audio is still very crisp and detailed. Find a girl (or boy), throw on some make-out music and you're setup to get laid in distortion-free sound!

Before I bought a TV, I played movies off my PC with this setup attached. Big explosions, dialogue, score and effects all come through majestically. Adjustable subwoofer/center/surround levels from the console. Of course, you can bypass all that with the headphone jack... which is convenient if you are watching porn and don't want neighbours/family/roommates to hear.

For gaming, surround sound really helps with the immersion and overall experience. It also provides a tactical advantage to any sort of first/third-person shooter-type games. In my PC gaming hay day, the surrounds in particular clued me on sneaky bastards trying to stab or shoot me in the back. So I guess you could say this speaker set has saved my life countless times as well!

If you don't believe a word I just wrote or prefer technobabble, charts and graphs, then this 3-page review from Tom's Guide will help.

There are newer 5.1 systems out there but in terms of output and build quality the closest is probably the Logitech Z-5500 (this model's successor) which, on sale, is still anywhere from $350-400 taxes in, or north of $500 if you purchase at MSRP.

Thanks for reading!

System Power: 560W Peak; 280W RMS
Main Input: 6-channel direct (3 x stereo mini jacks, cables included).
Surround Matrix Mode available for 2-channel audio content and works surprisingly well.
All cables included.
Original box and packaging available (except the twist-ties; I think I threw those out).

$80 firm.
