Ban puppy sale in richmond pet stores?

I heard this over the news that they want to ban puppy sales in pet stores in richmond.

I hope this is true so people can stop supporting puppy mills and buy from proper breeder or adopt from sPCA

it is kind of funny because pet habitat says they do not use puppy mills, but when a news channel did an investigation, they found that the puppies were coming from a mill. It just took a little digging and searching to find out that info. They even visited the warehouse with hidden cameras.

All of the chain pet stores use puppy mills (and cat mills, and rabbit mills and line bred hamsters and rats and guinea pigs) and backyard breeders. They just say they don't. All of them do.

+1. Plus, whenever my dog had any minor health problems, we would just give her a call and she would be more than happy to give us advice before seeing the vet. And she invites us over whenever she has puppies

Better google it. try fifth estate or a local one if you want to see anything local.
