^ don't need to spend a lot of money to make wheels look good. Cr Kais are cheap but they're not ugly. Imo that makes it a good wheel.

9 inches 44 offset is where the Cr Kai starts to concave. Pretty doable offset for most. And its a Work wheel so quality is good too.

RPF1 is good because of lightness, looks and price.

Both of those are good choices. Point is you don't need to spend over $500 a wheel for looks and performance.

I think maybe you've overlooked the fact that cheap doesnt always necessarily mean shit. RPF1's are popular for a reason, no?

Just because not everyone spends their entire paycheque on volks doesnt mean they're getting a set of shitty wheels.

someone can probably vouch for rotas than, they are cheap but a lot of people never had problems with them.

So why pay twice/triple the price tag when u can get the exact same style by rocking fake ones.

I'd rather roll on 5zigen rims than rpf1

OZ/SSR/weds/other work line up/rays aint that expensive. around $2000-2500 bench mark

the only reason RPf1 is popular because

A cheapest jdm rims you can get, well you cant find anything cheaper than that. A set of 18" is around $1400 after taxes

B they are light

but their style is boring, so everyone jumps on the bandwagon especially those who dont have a lot of cash to blow on mods

Exactly, and maybe thats what alot of people go for, they dont necessarily need the big brand name.

Why do people buy volks even if they cant really justify spending dropping that much coin? Sure they're light, they look good, but I'll bet you can find wheels that cost less that also fit column A and B

So I'd say that big part of it is the fact that it says VOLK and not enkei

I have more respect for a guy rocking RPF1s and tracking his car to its limit than someone rocking ballin rims on the street for show any day.

People spend money buying RPF1s or even Rotas because they are pretty good track wheels. They would rather use the money saved on tires, brakes, and other more important things. Every time I see some dude forking out $3k for rims yet rocking some fucked up tires like Nankang or random brands that sound like they are manufactured by underground China factories, I just want to laugh.
