Went down to EB and traded in Bad company 2 and demon's souls. Stupid CSR tried to convince me to get that $3 disc protection, and then lied to me about pre order DLC, which I didn't get... So lame. Can't wait to play :D only 10 min left in class hehehehe...

Just got it but can't activate it cause I can't get onto the steam servers :S

yea computer, suprisingly it's slowing down my comp a bit, when i played F3 it never lagged at all, might have to lighten up on the ultra high settings even though thats what it set it on itself

so far pretty fun

What do you guys recommend PC or 360? My pc is powerful enough to play at max settings but these type of games tend to be better on console no?

^I'd say these type of games are better for PC. I did play Fallout 3 on the 360 though.

If you're PC is good enough for it then get it for PC. Mods and stuff will eventually come out for the game which is a good advantage for PC gamers. And it is an FPS so mouse + keyboard ftw.

i managed to fuck up a shit load of programs including steam, CS5, etc. now i gotta fuckin reload everything and i lost my save :(

Playing on the 360. I played F3 on the PC. The one thing I miss from the PC version is the "auto walk" button.

Yeah, unforgivably epically hard.

but very rewarding! jeez you die and lose all your exp, so what =P

I remember I went through hell to find that game. I got the first batch that was released and played for an hour....I've never been sooooooooo frustrated in my life. The more you die, the harder it gets. It's not a forgiving game. Definitely not recommended for the casual gamer.

I can't say I enjoyed it, it definitely didn't live up to the hype for me either. I hate the rag doll effect of the corpses. You walk over them and it's like you were punting them for a field goal.

I ended up selling it for exactly what I paid for it because it was so high demand.

Oh btw, anyone having FPS lag issues on PC try this fix:

I was running FO3 at 60 on max settings with an overclocked GTX 460 and I was getting 30 FPS is NV which made no sense... then realized the graphics rendering was buggy as fuck in NV... This has already been fixed for FO3 but not NV.. retarded Bestheda!!

Anyway the fix worked for me, 60fps on max =)

I bought fallout when it first came out and only finished it last week lol I never played it till i read about new vegas and was like "Oh shit I still havent finished F03" hahaha

I've been fallout fan since first ones on PC... New vegas should be awesome

I just installed it to the FO:NV directory as I didnt get the game thru steam..

Try looking for C:/Program files/Bestheda/Fallout new vegas/(put the file here)

try Steam/steamapps/common

Cause I beat it, then I beat it again, then I tried to fuck the disc, but that didn't work, so I decided to trade it in. Fallout: new vegas is pretty epic so far though.

I love these games but this game isn't as technically sound as fallout 3, this isn't the same developer, and the game isn't as well optimized, as stated by a user a few posts up. It's using the same engine, but requires slightly more horsepower to run.
