i had an old Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers... honestly, the most amazing sound came from them - big sound stage, super clear...

Altec Lansing FX6021

I bought them used on Ebay for around $80 equivalent, and they were worth every penny.

ya man, i found an old pair on Ebay, didn't even know what they were... read up on some reviews and fell in love. BUT, I got them when I was in London, and couldn't bring them home with me, too bulky and WAY too heavy...

Any of you guys have these? Planning to order it, seems like they are small and have big sound. Ipod Dock/playback is an added bonus too.

Is any of those speakers are good enough to recommend for TV?
I want to add external speakers into my tv to get clear sound.

+1

BUT, they are expensive for a 2.1

BUT, they sound amazing. Try playing some instrumental music on them and put the volume on high, it's really different from any other speakers I've used.

Better off with a pair of these:http://www.long-mcquade.com/products...e_Monitors.htm

250 watts RMS each and 8 inch mids. I own a pair and they sound great. Really accurate sound reproduction.

The specs look impressive, they are way too big thou. Already got a pair of bx8s in the study but need a smaller set for use with mbp in the bedroom.
