Take a Chinese wedding banquet for example (probably the cheapest), at the lowest cost of $700 per table (price ranges from $700 to $2000, depending on the food), 10 heads per table with 250 guests, so that's 25 tables.
$19,600 including HST. and this is just for the RECEPTION. It does not include the cost of renting a chapel, renting a priest, renting/buying a wedding dress (perhaps multiple dresses if you plan to change throughout the reception), tuxedo for the groom and groomsmen, dresses for the bridesmaid, limousine rental, cost of a photographer and videographer (this alone can cost up to $10,000), etc etc.
So all in all, you're looking at spending at least 30-40k., and that's considered cheap for a wedding compared to our Caucasian counterparts. lol
