Help: Where to go fishing?!

Hey guys,

I am wondering where you guys go to go fishing? Of course this isn't going to be a big thing where I have my own boat but a place where I can rent a boat and just go fishing. I am looking for some good lakes to go fishing in that isn't too far away from Vancouver itself but am willing to entertain some hot spots!

So please, can you list out places where you can:

1. Rent the boat
2. Rent rods
3. Go fishing

Thanks!

P.S. if you're wondering, its because I was reminded of something at the local market and the kid in me suddenly felt like going fishing again.

Why do you want to go to a lake? The coho are just starting their run up the local rivers and the fishing is great. The spring are in too one broke my line a couple days ago...Big fucker. You won't find fish like that in a lake.

You can charter boats on the fraser too to go sturgeon fishing... that's a trip!

Berz out.

More detail please!

Any particular places that you know of that has good fishing spots?

I liked to lake idea because I like to idea of going into a like on a small boat and just relaxing and hoping to catch some fish!

Sturgeon fishing is the way to go, have been multiple times but just went yesterday for an annual work derby where the company i used to work for charters out 15-25 boats from "BC Sport Fishing" which is basically a big boss who has contracts with a bunch of individual guides he lines up for derby's etc.

i thought for sure i had won the big fish prize with this one yesterday, but some fucker had one almost a foot bigger than mine here, this one is 7'2

about 260lb's

salmon fishing is alright, especially when your out on the ocean for Tyee or your lucky enough to hook into a spring on the River, but there's nothing like sturgeon fishing, with a group of 4-5 guys you can probably get it for $150 each for a full day, 8am - 3pm with everything but beers and food included, literally there is nothing like it, where else in the world can you hook into 10 up to 40 of these in one day? it doesnt exist, if your into fishing it's something you should definitely try at least once, it's pretty awsome.

Ya, me and some friends have been talking about sturgeon fishing the past few years but just haven't booked it. Definitely something I'll do, hopefully sooner than later.

yup sturgeon fishing is the best but there is nothing like going to the local fraser river tributaries to go and try and catch a spring or a coho. definately look into guided fishing if u dont have ur own rods u can do half and half 4 hrs sturgeon and 4 hrs salmon fishing... but honestly salmon on the fly is the shit!!!!
