Is there a way to adjust the pedal position side to side? I remember left foot braking was more like left foot chaffing

Make sure you test your used g25 good.. the main issue was the shifter not going into 6th gear or reverse... I had this happen to mine luckily it was under warranty and logitech sent me a brand new g25 now i have 2.. One without the shifter and one with.. Problem with it is GT5 recognizes the 2nd one with no shifter but wont let it play without the shifter.. So basically that wheel is only good when playing auto... But suck cause you cant control the gears...

ilvtofu 11-17-2010 09:03 PM

^how did you prove to them it was broken? since you didn't send it in. Couldn't anyone who bought a G25 tell logitech they had a broken shifter and get a new one? and then refund/sell one of them?

insomniac 11-17-2010 10:16 PM

did you have to send them the receipt? what did they ask? i have a broken g7 mouse but i dont have receipts ):

terkan 11-17-2010 10:58 PM

they get you to ship back certain parts of your product. they'll provide you with a shipping label that you ship it back. g25 you ship back the shifter, z5500 you ship back the control pod etc etc. and no you don't need the receipt. they have record when it was approximately purchased. the only time you need to provide receipt is if you don't agree with the warranty dates

ilvtofu 11-18-2010 06:55 AM

^I can't thank you don't know why, but thanks for the info.

Are there replacement parts you can buy afterwards though? Do they just want the shift knob or the whole shift pod cause that's huge!

Dragon-88 11-18-2010 09:02 AM

Shift pod.. But htink of it its better than sending the whole unit.. Which would be costly cause its freaking heavy..

Ive been trying to find a replacement shifter for the last 2 years.. Thats how hard they come by.. Well atleast for under $100 shipped...

ilvtofu 11-20-2010 06:43 PM

Damn tried out the g27 and liked it a lot more than the g25. Although the setup at memory express is really nice with the fanatec cage.
Heel toe shifting is awesome :3
Although the game they had sucked I forgot what it was but ergonomics were pretty good. Now to find free time to build the seat

Does anyone know if there are any good deals for g27 or even g25 right now? Seems like the prices actually went up from what I saw few months ago.

ilvtofu 11-22-2010 11:03 AM

I've been looking and the best deal I can find is memory express for $320 + 5% off so 304 before tax. Still a lot less than future shop/bestbuy but yeah

I too would like to know. Even in the states looking at 299 so better to just get from ME

Fafine 11-22-2010 11:06 AM

^ where do you buy it from that gives you 5% off, the futureshop price match?

Cman333 11-22-2010 11:34 AM

I can probably get it for $300 flat if anyone is interested. I'm getting a couple of my friends some. So can probably help out a couple people.

All purchases over $100 = 5% off

@Cman Is that after tax?

Yup. $300 cash. Basically getting someone to staff purchase it and he wants to make a little something.

Either way, still cheaper.

twitchyzero 11-22-2010 12:25 PM

i'm going to be putting up my bnib g25 with some games up for sale soon...the demand for wheels for the next month or two are going to be pretty high.

Does that mean no warranty then?

Warranty you just call logitech and they will check the Serial number and see if everything is good.. IE they know when they sell 100 G27's on a specific date to fs/bb so they range it from that...Worst case they will ask for receipt but i have never been asked this and have done atlease 4 warranties through logitech...
One time I bought a mouse of craigslist didnt work after the first day. Told craigslist guy it was faulty got my money back then warrantied it with logitech no problem and got a replacement.

As for FS warranty you wouldnt return it to them unless its DOA within the first 15-30days(not sure) soo logitech is where you will be going for warranty.

Dragon-88 11-22-2010 01:29 PM

FYI G27 cost wise is roughly $250 so atleast u know what markup is...

q0192837465 11-22-2010 03:01 PM

^holy, in that case I got it as cost. woohoo.

There's warranty through FS/BB. I won't be giving you the receipt, but if you really need warranty within the year just pm me and we can arrange something.

Logitech's warranty is better anyways.

NOTE: I can't do this for everyone that msg's. Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

248.75 or something like that. Like 280 after tax + 20 for the time.

Alpine 11-22-2010 08:01 PM

As another option you can buy the g27 from bestbuy for $280 before tax (20% off their usual retail and ONLINE only). After tax total comes to $314.
The only downside is that its out of stock online but I rolled the dice anyways and hopefully they get some in soon.

ilvtofu 11-22-2010 09:04 PM

Damn not bad for the bestbuy deal either. I e-mailed the guy who sold me my camera at memory express see if he can get me discount LMAO. Just bought a wacom tablet yesterday from them and realized I already spent $1600 there in the last 3 weeks.

q0192837465 11-23-2010 01:23 PM

^holy, wtf did u buy?

ncrx 11-25-2010 05:31 PM

On Nov 13, there was a sale on the logitech site with 35% off everything. got my g27 for 255 shipped.

HonestTea 11-25-2010 05:33 PM

^ thx for sharing..
