Would NCIX pricematch this even thought its in USD? I know that retailers cost is around $250 |

if you guys know anyone from bestbuy, its 230CAD cost + 5% + tax = 270ish |
$270 is still a bitch to fork up :( Just wondering, rk604, are you still allowed to use Gift cards if you're an employee and buying it @ Cost($230+5%+tax)? |
sorry for the bump on an oldish thread but I'm thinking of getting a wheel sometime in the near future I've tried the G25 before and wondering if anyone has tried both to advise me which one to buy. My only complaint with the G25 is that the stick shifter felt really cheap and didn't have much feedback. Is it improved in the G27? I don't mind buying used and it seems hard to find the g27 |
There is a good video on YouTube a comparison of the two, besides a shift light and adjustable pedals there really isn't much difference between the 25 and 27 personally I think I prefer the look of the 25's wheel over the 27's Posted via RS Mobile |

Watching some videos on youtube it seems like the fanatec is a better wheel and has vibration motors as well. whereas the g25 has a bunch of cheap plasticky rattles and the fanatec feels a lot more real. The other advantage is that it has significantly less wires and because I use a projector set up with all my consoles off to the back corner of the room it's a great benefit. What's your opinion on the fanatech 911 wheels? haha I'm wondering if I can build a setup with the 911 wheel and a stock pair of 993 leather seats I have in the house. would be pretty neat fanatec GT3 wheel is about $350 USD and the G27 is about $300 USD seems like a very reasonable upgrade Also the Turbo S wheel comes with Xbox compatibility as well which is a big plus too EDIT: Nice found one a g27 on RS classifieds http://www.revscene.net/forums/fs-lo...7-t629639.html |

Sequential shifting is cool though. |
You can acctually change the feel of the G25 shifter with a rubber washer... There is a youtube vid of it somewhere. Did it to mine feels alot stiffer. |
I'm sure there won't be too much real life difference between the 2. Of course u'll feel slight improvement if u try them out side by side. But for casual gamers, the G25 is more than good enough BTW, I'm gonna find a way to put the G27 on booster seat so my son can learn how to drive before he learns how to walk. |
I think I'm gonna get a g25 used with a cheap playseat which is about the same price as the fanatec Is there a way to adjust the pedal position side to side? I remember left foot braking was more like left foot chaffing Posted via RS Mobile |
^ there is a way to adjust pedal position side to side, but thats only with the g27 and not the g25. unless you were going to get rid of the pedal housing and reverse mount them or something, then you can just move the pedals over side to side then mount them into a frame and the g25 would be ok for that. |
