Quick question about center bore

So I drive a 1991 VW Passat with a CB of 57.1mm. I'm thinking of buying steelies that were mounted on a Civic, but basically all Hondas have a CB of 56.1mm, and I'm worried that the steelies were OEM-spec to Hondas. Would the 1mm difference affect the ability for the wheel to mount properly?

Please keep in mind that I cannot widen the CB myself as I lack the tools to do it, also it's a bit of a safety concern trying to modify it myself.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

The rims will not fit on your B3 (or any Volkswagen) since the bore is 1mm too small. You can take the rims to pretty much any rim "specialist" (or machine shop) and have them remove 1mm from the CB to make it fit.

^ Appreciate that Chewie. A friend of mine is hooking me up with a set of E30 bottlecaps for cheap, and I know those should fit.
