I'm spending all day tomorrow writing it up. I'll post it up when I get a chance. A good opportunity came up for a unionized job, so I need to nail this.

PM me your resume. I used to do hiring for Playland/PNE, as well as for my marketing company.

PM me ur resume.

I can give you constructive feedback and not just bash you on how shitty it is.
please at least tell me how old you are. cause I will be harder on you if you're 28 and career oriented versus you being 18 and fresh out from schoool looking for a job.

Since we are in the topic of resume, do you guys mind at all if you looked at mine as well?

I just want some feedback, I feel that it is lacking something. Not sure what though.

Sorry Majin for stealing thread haha :P

Did a search and nothing really came up specifically to what I am wondering about cover letters. so here goes.
I'm submitting a cover letter + resume through a company's website, just wondering if I should leave a space underneath "best regards" and my name? If I was to submit a hard copy of the cover letter, I am suppose to leave a space to put my signature there when I go to print it out. I am just unsure of this if I were to submit it electronically. Thanks! Here's what I mean:

Best regards,

My name

If you are sending it electronically, one space is good.

i hate jobs on craigslist that don't post what the name of the company is, or anything.

I applied for a bartending job on Craigslist for a club downtown and bit the bullet worried that it could have been my own employer. annoys the shit out fo me.

Probably not a good idea to apply for jobs that don't even list their own company. It could be some jackass receiving resumes from others to get feedback on their shitty resume.

But I think in general, your resume "format" really depends on what type of job it is. Also make sure you have the right "key words". For example, if it's for a tech support job, make sure your resume contains words like... "trouble shooting, technical assistance, concise communication etc etc...". The reason I say this is because a lot of recruiting companies automatically shove your resume through a database grinder when you submit it, and only if your resume comes out alive, will the recruiter even look at it.

Sometimes, it's just luck, really

When I PDF my cover letters I actually use a scanned image of my signature there. Otherwise, like what was said, a single space will suffice.

What are some tips for resumes? I'm 16, with little work experience other than a year of news-paper delivery years ago. Anyone mind checking mine over as well?
