2003 Chrysler Sebring Convertible

Anyone else own this ride? Contemplating on buying it, found one somewhere for cheap, dont know how reliable it is though..

The 2.7V6 is an absolute piece of shit.. You have been warned (Google oil starvation/sludge)..

seakrait 11-06-2010 04:10 PM

hell no. reliability on those things leaves much to be desired.

roastpuff 11-06-2010 04:19 PM

Yecccch. Stay away, for the love of God. Go find a Solara...

1-Slicer-1 11-06-2010 04:25 PM

Wow, what a beautiful car.

orange7 11-06-2010 04:37 PM

they don't look too bad, but since it has reliability issues like ppl mentioned here, I guess you should look else where

I dont know why you seem so surprised.

sounds like you're wishing someone will tell you its a gift of god.

Tegra_Devil 11-06-2010 10:22 PM

i work at a chrysler dealership

these are prone for suspension problems, as they used magnesium mounting brackets.....water + magnesium = no good.

that and their convertables have horrible vibration at high speeds

DiiCii 11-06-2010 10:24 PM

are you just looking for a convertible? miatas aren't too bad =)

spideyv2 11-06-2010 10:25 PM

i found one of these for under 10 g's, thinking it was a good deal till hearing about all the problems..

might just stick with a 2003 nissan sentra for 6 g's

illicitstylz 11-06-2010 10:31 PM

is that you Michael Scott of Dunder Mifflin?

jpark 11-06-2010 10:39 PM

i used to work at chrysler dealership as well... the interior in these things (the oldone and the new one).... WTF.. nuff said

do you own one?

!Aznboi128 11-06-2010 11:34 PM

Had one of these as a rental in cali, free upgrade from econ. however could i lose? It was horrible the chassis flex was unbearable, the top was loud at highway speeds.
