So while the new M37 will come with a 3.7 liter 330 horsepower V6, it's safe to say the M56 will borrow the 400 horsepower 5.6 liter V8 engine from the monstrous QX56. But since the next best engine in the family will be borrowed from the FX50, will they have to change the name from M56 to M50?
Infiniti managed to work some magic and pulled through with thee powerful engines under one umbrella, and provided the M56 with a 420 horsepower 5.6 liter V8. And according to Nissan (the M56 is known as the Nissan Fuga in Japan), it kicks out about 417 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpms and gets 19mpg. That's one hell of a spaceship. I'm sure Honda and Toyota must be running off to change their stained pants at this point.
Car and Driver pointed out some cool new safety features that have been included in the new M56:
"Infiniti says that the next-generation M will add even more electro-nanny tech, all wearing the typical alphabet-exhausting acronyms. In retrospect, the company’s blind-spot intervention system seems like a no-brainer. It combines blind-spot monitoring with lane-departure prevention—which senses when the car is about to leave its lane without the driver signaling and applies the brakes on the opposite side of the car to pull it back into the proper lane—to monitor the blind spots and tug drivers away from merging into other vehicles."
I can see the appeal (somewhat) of the M37. Sub 50g AWD 300+ hp but for 70g+ I would much rather go for a E550 (even if it's a tad less powerful) or the 550 xDrive.
"It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good ... They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time. "
i like the M, but i can't seem to think of a reason to get it over the E class.
Well theres the issue of reliability that you would typically get with a benz.
550i has a twin turbo V8 though, monstrous engine, should be pretty sweet if chipped and has a sleeper look too.
Then we have the Jag XFR which IMO Is in a whole other league but is only about 10k more than the m56 sport, but when everything is factored in it's a way more desirable car. Jag's reliability is pretty high up there in recent years too, and probably the best interior
OP should've posted pics of the m's new interior
I really like the doors, something mercedes hasn't been giving much thought to with their new cars.

I wasnt aware that alot of members havent seen the redesigned M, this thread was just to show the M56S performance and shit, i wasnt really comparing it too other cars so i didnt post the pics of the interior. But dam to think it has the same engine has the huge ass QX56 is mind bobbling.
They better fix the 7 auto speed transmission. Otherwise the new m look sick. I like the styling cue from essence of all of Infiniti new cars. Fx m... Sick Posted via RS Mobile
yeeaa no.. looks like hyundai....
sigh.. no matter what Infiniti do to their future vehicles theywill never be as good as Porsche Bmw or Benz..
they try too hard, however its just another common street vehicle, not luxury or headturner vehicle..
Like that dude from Car and Driver Magazine says:
Infiniti is made for average person, someone looking for cheaper lease and cheap thrills.
I concur.

benz's interiors look like shit. it's all to square-y and upright. not to mention they look bland as hell. wasn't a fan of the g37's interior either but infiniti did a great job on the new M.
why would you want a "colourful" interior? i rather have a bland interior so i can focus on the road. that wood grain stuff is so old school..I can see how this infiniti would be catered more towards the 40+ yr old crowd who want something luxurious but with traditional styling.
Compared with BMW/Benz/Lexus, Infiniti's sports lineup is on the end of my list. Even the G37 is shit now compared to before.
why would i want a colourful interior? because i paid 75gs and i want people who ride in my car to jizz their pants at how nice it is not fall asleep at how borng it is

i like the last design of the M over the current one (body styling)
but regardless i can't get over how much they want for it although with the big HP lately i can kinda see but still for that price id rather go for something german or british

hahaha that is quite a large gap in price dont you think?
