I actually like the new Genesis Coupe though...even considered buying one.
The new Sonata is growing on me too...

Solo_D33A 11-23-2010 12:01 PM

I'm not surprised, hyundai's one of the largest ship builders, our Canada Line's from them, they're like Mitsubishi in Korea.

Cars are as much science as it is art. Sadly, the new Toyotas & Hondas just look too damn ugly. If Korean cars are proved to be just as reliable, they'r gonna be unstoppable.

PiuYi 11-23-2010 01:42 PM

Hyundai's on the right track, but i think Toyota/Lexus is still leaps and bounds ahead of Hyundai, it'll be a few years before straight up direct comparisons should be made

Mugen EvOlutioN 11-23-2010 01:57 PM

thank you captain
:)

All three brands are shit in the UK..

Toyota only has the Auris (corolla) and Avensis. Their diesels are lagging behind just about everyone in passenger cars. When a Passat is cheaper than a Camry, you have a problem. Fleet buyers use anything but a Toyota...

Hyundai doesn't sell any of their Genesis models there.

Kia.. I dont' think they have any of the new models designed by the pre-Audi designer yet in those markets

hk20000 11-23-2010 03:12 PM

Not surprised....Drove the 2011 Sonata here....just that car alone is a total walk over on the 2011 Camry 4cyl.

Then there's the 2GR Camry......which will be served a stompin' by the 2011 Sonata turbo.

If North Americans are comfortable with a turbocharged motor then this package is going to cover all basis.

EmperorIS 11-23-2010 04:27 PM

lol so ... would you buy a hyundai or kia ?

Mugen EvOlutioN 11-23-2010 04:34 PM

fuck no

BaoTurbo 11-23-2010 05:34 PM

I feel that if the Genesis is tuned and done right, its a beast.

AccordCouped 11-23-2010 08:26 PM

the genesis is a beast

FerrariEnzo 11-24-2010 05:03 AM

with all the recalls toyota was having, i wouldnt be suprised

Z3guy 11-24-2010 06:18 AM

For now, Hyundai and Kia are selling more cars than Toyota. However, regardless who sell more cars, I am pretty sure Toyota are making more profit per car (especially with Lexus).

You take profit to the bank, not volume

StylinRed 11-24-2010 01:19 PM

never knew hyundai owns half of kia

synchrocone 11-28-2010 09:10 AM

Perhaps they oughta overlook purposals to build a few kia/hyundais in N. Korea.

True that specially because you can get them with 7 seats and a V6 for only 26,095 lol and it's also not as big as an suv or as gay as a mini van hahaha
