| Leaking a large amount of oil
So my 1991 Passat leaks oil whenever I park it after a drive. No matter how short or long the drive is, the car starts leaking oil as soon as I shut if off (as soon as I look under the car, it's already dripping off either the oil pan or on the seam where the transmission and engine mate). It's a pretty bad leak, since I'm topping up my oil to normal levels every 3-4 days (~200ml a top up).
Any help or shops that can help is appreciated thanks. If its something that requires pulling the engine, I might as well go VR6...or replace my clutch if it's not that serious.

Best to worst case:
-valve cover gasket
-oil related sensor
-oil pan gasket
-rear main oil seal

Sell the Passat and get an E30.

It's most likely leaking while running but what your seeing is the post drive runoff. Worst case its the rear main and that requires pulling the motor or trans to gain access. If you like someone to look at it and give you a better idea of whats wrong a phone call and quick appointment is all that's needed.

My instructor at BCIT sourced the possible culprit as the oil pressure sending unit. It's pissing oil, so the gasket there might have failed. Easy fix for my skills, but I won't be surprised if that's not the end.
Thanks for all the replies so far!

Thanks for all the replies so far! | My B3 Wagon had the same issue, toss in a new one and your good to go! Take the time and clean up the engine bay after its all fixed that way you can tell if its leaking anywhere else! If its the whole unit (Where you filter attaches to the block) make sure that the surface is not warped as I had to do mine a twice because it was warped.
