for some reason i find it really weird that Ovechkin speaks english on the ice
That's the difference between Canada and USA. People integrate, not try to act and live like they did back in the old country. Also, speaking Russian to the refs wouldn't get him very far, don't you think?

i was watching episode 4, and 8:26 into it is still showing Matt cooke with wife in car.
U can't, that's two eps max. Unless they cover......all the playoff teams and it'll cost money. Plus I don't think the NBA/NFL would allow as much transparency as the NHL in terms of their stars swearing and what not, because they are so image conscious.
AND
They already have a NFL version, it's called "hard knocks", its basically 24/7 for NFL training camp, this year was on the JETS.

It would be the entire playoffs. Jets Training camp was great, but just imagine the storylines involved.

I don't think it'll be as dramatic.......first of all I feel like the media will have all the matchups covered already. Espn during playoff time is littered with NFL stuff, there are numerous columns and podcasts talking non-stop about the NFL. But with the NHL, they're showing a side that hardly any casual fan (US and Canada even) has seen, and that makes it unique. I never liked Crosby until watching this (i.e. how he lets Malkin come out last because he played in the "super league", or how he plays PSP on the plane). Stuff like that.

Crosby is one of the best if not the best player in the NHL, captain of his team, good ol Canadian boy...
wins a World Junior Gold, Lord Stanley's Cup, and an Olympic Gold by way of overtime game winner and you like him because he plays the PSP?

Perhaps like is not the appropriate word, I respected him always as a player but didn't really see how he led his teams, partly because I'm a fairweather fan, I was a hatin' on him the whole gold medal game until he scored, and my view of him changed, still not fully on board with understanding y he's that great (as a leader). Like I say, the 24/7 just reveals the different sides of the players, they didn't show too much on Ovy but we still saw that he lives with his parents, and that outside the rink Cooke is pretty awesome.
My opinions didn't change on any of them. I still like Ovechkin, dislike Crosby, and think Malkin is an idiot. Also, when they were in Blysma's house, it felt so awkward, as if they were acting for the cameras.

He's the youngest captain in the history of the NHL to lead his team to win a Stanley cup... but some how you don't think hes a good leader? He leads by example on and off the ice every day. To be a leader you don't have to be yelling at your team mates for mistakes. During the show it showed Crosby coaching his team mates numerous times during intermissions. I just don't get it...

Contrary to you, or a big hockey fan, not everyone follows the league with the vigor and energy. I'm predominately a bball guy, I enjoy hockey mainly due to growing up being a Canuck fan, and nowadays I pretty much just watch Canuck highlights and follow their player movements. So why the FUCK can't not fully understand? The fact that he's a captain, and they're playing well, does not 100% prove that his leadership brings results. I know now that it plays a major part, but you know what else brings success? TALENT. When he's not playing for team Canada, why should I focus so much energy on a guy in the East coast and root for him? It's the same when Kesler is on the US team, really like him when hes playing for us, but when hes on the US team, I'm happy when he screws up and his team loses. Same logic.

In my case it's MAF that I didn't think much off until I saw 24/7 who now I am a big fan of.
Gotta love those practice antics like jumping jack saves and shoot-out taunts.
My take on Crosby. Forget the cup, forget the clutch GOLDEN GOAL. I have to say that the change of heart for me towards crosby had to be last season. He turned his game around. from playmaker to Rocket Richard winner. His goal/assist ratio is almost on par. He played his guts out carrying the pens last year. Disappointing that the Habs knocked them off, but Crosby at the moment is trying everything he can to bring the pens back to the promised land.
