David Lam Park - street parking along Pacific

can someone confirm that the parking along Pacific next to David Lam Park is free at all times? I walked by and saw tons of cars parked but no meters OR any sort of permits in cars. It looks like both sides of pacific are free... nearest cross street is Drake.

if anyone knows of any restrictions or otherwise, please post.

thanks

From what I remember some have time restrictions and some have no restrictions
Whenever I go to Yaletown I usually park around there :P
and if you can't find free parking along Pacific there is more free parking south of Pacific inside the park area

I'll chime in here to help out my fellow cheap people who don't like paying the ridiculous amounts for parking.

I'm not sure about right on Pacific, most of the parking in Yaletown there is MAX 2HR parking. If you drive down Drake going towards the water off Pacific, after the small Daycare its all 2hr parking. Then the street at the end of the block (Marinaside Crescent) is all 2hr parking.

Then also if you drive down Richards going to the water, Beach Crescent is all free parking. (I think its no limit)

Hope that helps.

P.S. I find it ironic that in the most expensive part of Vancouver, the parking is free..

well.. this was a 'good' idea to do but after driving around the area for the last few days around 7am..there was no spots at all.. if you were lucky you would snag a single spot but only if the person in front of you didn't beat you to it.

darn... was kinda looking at this as an alternative to pay parking while working in the yaletown area.

right beside the park on pacific is free. Last time I drove by, there were no signs for any restrictions. That's why there are always cars there. Pretty hard to find a spot there if you want one.

thanks everyone.. i managed to snag a free spot today and yesterday ..just as long as i get there early enough. In both cases, 6:30am is good... earlier is ideal!

just wondering how long it has been like this? and we all know this is temporary at best.

fyi my work hours are 6:30 to 3ish.

Haha, I used to park there when I worked at Urban Fare in yaletown. There is some free parking if you go into the small streets (at least there was 2 years ago) on Homer and Beach crescent, but they're usually taken up by the residents.
