Fresh Air
Fresh Water
Snow Capped Mountains
Rivers
Lush Valleys
Serenity
Amazing Wildlife
Hot Women
Great Skiing
Scuba Diving

The bad.........

Fucked up protesters.
Haven for drug addicts
Prince George, LOL

Wish we could kick out the useless bums who come here from the other provinces.

My favourite West Coast moment..... canoe out on a lake at the crack of dawn with nobody else in sight for miles - taking in the fresh crisp air - slight early morning fog hovering over pristine water - listening to the birds and other wildlife. Nothing like it.

My favourite childhood moment........ out at sea on my father's commercial fishing boat going up and down the coast off Queen Charlottes - the smell of the sea, the awesome scenery.

EDIT: fucking west_coast turning into $$$$$ glitch.

sounds like a lot of you havn't been outside BC........

while I've been all over Canada, I've only been as far east as montreal, but 90% of the above suggestions are found all across canada.

Mountains and an overpriced real estate market are the 2 main things you won't find anywhere else in the country.
Sure we have the pacific ocean, but every province has water, ours just has retarded overpriced ferry service in it.

No one on the island has either. Some of these suggestions are definitely Vancouver things, not BC or west coast things.

I'll add surfing.

How about the fresh air, forests, hydroelectricity, vast ocean scenery, water sports, mountains, winter sports, mild summer/winter temperatures, some of the best roads to drive on (take hwy 99 north all the way to the end, you'll know what i'm talking about), hst, excellent seafood, very multicultural (at least the lower mainland is, not so if you go further east of Maple Ridge), high cost of living, ferries, waterfalls.........thats more than 10 right?

I've been to places as far as Quebec and I have to disagree. Our scenery combined with everything else is way more awesome. I have yet to be on the Atlantic, but I cannot imagine it being better.

Even our salmon kicks ass over theirs, LOL.

Great Lakes? LOLOLOLOLOL.............

The ability to drive only a couple hours and experience both a temperate rain forest (world's largest, nonetheless!) and some of the driest desert in the world.

I shit you not, but as weird as this sounds, watching the leaves change colour is actually much better in Montreal than it is here. I don't know why it is, but it's true.

That said, the majority of southern Europe has much better scenery than us. And I hate to say this, but the flatness of the Prairies is actually pretty neat on it's own.
