nickmak 08-03-2011 02:29 PM

Near Princeton, you take highway 3 to get there which is a really nice highway

Me and some friends were up in that area over the weekend camped at goose lake

nickmak 08-04-2011 11:21 AM

Where's goose lake? Is that along the whipsaw? We camped at wells lake and lodestone, I can't remember the name of the other lakes. We were behind all the other groups hahah, my buddies jeep had some serious mechanical issues. Once I get the pics off my camera and my friends camera I'll post up a trip report!

You forgot right next to Ricky Lake. It's off the KVR and you can also get there from hwy 5A. It was wicked times super nice spot with no Bugs!!

Hanging around that Epic guy for 3 days kinda sucked tho :fullofwin:

nickmak 08-08-2011 08:43 PM

No bugs??! Damn, I'm covered in mosquito bites. We sprayed on a fresh layer of muskol every 5 minutes

Went to the 4WDABC maintenance run today, the 4 bolts holding the lower ball joint to the knuckle on a guys 3rd gen 4runner snapped off just after the v rock! Luckily we were on our way down so the truck was pointing the fsr. We managed to hold everything together with tie down straps and limped the truck to the sasquach inn. Long day..

No doubt

Think I'm gonna retire my 4runner hahah, a rear wheel bearing let go yesterday morning in a parking lot. It gets wheeled hard and its my daily driver so I get screwed when something breaks. I might pick up a 85 4runner with a 4" lift on Friday hehehee. Solid axle and it's got a 22re and 33's. I've got plans for it..

Phil@rise 08-25-2011 12:40 PM

The 85' is a great truck! If its not rotten

nickmak 08-25-2011 09:06 PM

Guy sold it. Damn it! Yeah the 85 is sweet, it saves me the hassle of doing a sas and was the only year that came solid axle and fuel injected. Next one that pops up on craigslist is mine haha. I'm kinda toying with the idea of picking one up from California or Arizona. If I'm building a rig I'd like to build it on a mint frame you know?

finally ended up doing the logging road thing. i was scared of scratching the truck the whole way up the mountain. the logging road was in sicamous which is about a 500km drive from the lower mainland. its pretty much the half way point between here and calgary if you're driving..

i spent a total of 7 hours on a saturday just jetski'ing around the lake. it was fucking awesome. had lunch on a old barge that was converted into a restaurant. best summer or should i say, best month of august ever. lol. oh and my shitty blackberry pictures do this town no justice. it truly is a fucking place to be during the summer.

blkgsr 09-24-2011 08:18 AM

that looks like a pretty tame ass loggin road..

Brianrietta 09-24-2011 06:29 PM

Yeah but with some pretty awesome views.

blkgsr 09-25-2011 09:18 PM

don't doubt it, just seemed overly worried about going up there in that truck...maybe it was worse than those couple of pics show

nickmak 09-25-2011 09:51 PM

its all good, awesome view so whatever. i'm down with kicking it on logging roads instead of shit kicking my truck. i've got the carnage and the $1000 pile of parts to show what a summer of wheeling has done to my truck hahaha

man i wanna try jet skiing. maybe next summer!
