Triathlon Athletes

Just wanted to make a post to see if anyone here has done any Triathlon events in the past and the training that was recommended for it.

Planning to do my first triathlon this year (olympic distance 1.5k s/30k b/10k r), and I want to start training, but i don't even have a bike...which i intend to get really soon.

Can anyone share experiences/events?

Awesome...thanks!!

if you're serious about it, get a coach. lifesport on W5th has a bunch of different types of coaching programs available. getting hooked up with someone there will give you a HUGE advantage to properly train and accomplish your goals.

google "tribc". they have a classified section where triathletes are selling their bikes and other gear. just like any other hobby, there is a lot to learn about the gear and in this sport, the gear is VERY expensive. maybe even go to one of the triathlon shops, tri sports, speed theory, bike gallery and see if they have affiliations with any training groups or clubs.

Exactly the same advice i heard from another trainer. Therefore, this is worth checking out.
