bcrdukes 12-10-2010 01:42 PM

It's a custom blend in which they will not divulge its iteration.

You can actually buy the coffee from them. Just ask the manager.

Arabica from Australia, according to my friend who worked at McDonalds.
Don't know if it's custom in any way though.

McDonald's Beans
McDonald's makes its coffee from 100 percent Arabica beans. According to McDonaldsSustainableCoffee.com, the company gets its beans from "Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms in Brazil, Colombia and Costa Rica."

Arabica Worldwide
According to CoffeeFun.com, Arabica beans account for over 70 percent of all coffee grown in the world.

Growing Arabica
Arabica beans must be grown under specific conditions. According to CoffeeFun.com, Arabica needs to be grown "at higher elevations between 600 and 2000 meters, in cool, subtropical climates with lots of rain, humidity, good soil and just the right mix of shade and sun."

Taste of Arabica
Although Arabica is the most commonly found bean in the United States, it is not necessarily the best- tasting bean in the world. As CoffeeFun.com reports, " low quality Arabica bean is still inferior to a high quality Robusta bean."

McDonald's in Comparison
According to FoodFacts.info, Starbucks also uses the Arabica bean. However, the March 2007 issue of Consumer Reports magazine ranked McDonald's coffee higher in taste in the coffee of Starbucks, Burger King and Dunkin' Donuts.

What is the fluoride level of Metro Vancouver water? Is fluoride added to the drinking water?
The natural level of fluoride in the water is less than 0.05 mg/L Metro Vancouver does not add fluoride to drinking water, and it has not been added since the early 1960s. There are no plans to add it in the future.

only 4.5% of BC residents drink fluoridated water (2007 stat)
Tap water supplied by the Metro Vancouver Water District is not fluoridated.

moomooCow 12-10-2010 08:18 PM

And that's why when you go to your dentist, you have to rinse your mouth with fluoride.

+1 to Mcdonald's coffee though

Shun Izaki 12-10-2010 10:12 PM
