I think in the book, they'll talk about how miserable the Dothraki were in not only Westeros, but the worst place of all for them, Winterfell. I can only imagine how much they hated it, but the show didn't touch on it, not even a little. I can see them wishing for a quick death in battle.

Also, that's pretty much the only way they know how to fight. People keep calling them a cavalry, but IMO they aren't a cavalry like European military. I see them more as Mongols with swords instead of arrows. They go in charging on their horses and try to behead everyone in sight. Of course that won't work against the walkers, but like I said, they dgaf and were ready to just get life overwith, dying for their Khaleesi. That's my take anyway, I think the upcoming book will go into it much more.

Good episode from a visuals and immersion standpoint.
But it seems kind of anticlimactic for me.

Like 7 seasons of build up and foreboding around the White Walkers & Night King, like you think they're going to come down and seriously fuck shit up on the entire continent of westeros, maybe the whole world, only to be over in one standoff battle at winterfell.

I hope that's not the end of them.

CivicBlues 05-01-2019 09:25 AM

Yeah how many decisive battles need to be waged at Winterfell? What happened to Dany's vision of a snowy Iron Throne. How's that going to happen now?

Mr.Money 05-01-2019 09:40 AM

what do you guys think about this?

GRRM might not even have Jon meet Danaeries in the next book, that's probably in the last book which will probably never see the light of day given GRRM's age.

Lol even though there are 3 eps left I'm no longer convince that the shit I was supposed to be believing for the past 7.5 seasons are going to be relevant anymore

Prophecies, Bran the 3 eyed raven, visions and fortune tellings. Good guys vs Cersei the end.

Hondaracer 05-02-2019 07:54 AM

Kinda laughed at Sansa’s Reluctance to give up winterfell to Dany

The woman is riding a fire breathing dragon and battling the night king in the clouds, she can have whatever the fuck she wants lol

Slifer 05-02-2019 11:04 AM

The night king is so OP but so retarded. Why is it necessary for him to kill Bran personally? Can't he send his lieutenants to do it? He obviously didn't watch Breaking Bad and didn't learn from Gus Fring's mistake. Dumbass...

Want the job done? Do it yourself lol

Hell Sam took down a white. Might as well send Ollie from the wall to do it.

Bran: Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding!

Night King: :denied:

Vansterdam 05-02-2019 08:15 PM

I was hoping Bran would have some dragonglass arrows shoot out of his wheelchair or some shit

Obsideon 05-02-2019 10:09 PM

I can't find it now but there was a tweet of an image of all the raven's tied with a shard of dragon glass on their back like a spear. Then Bran flies thousands of them at the NK lol.

I read through a lot of your posts and nobody had the same question as I did...

How did Arya get through all those whitewalkers without being spotted??

I honestly thought she would change her face to get out of the library situation, however she didn't do it there, so it was highly unlikely that she would do it on her way to the Night King...

anybody else have the same thought?

Otherwise, great episode. I read a lot of complaints where people were saying the episode color was too dark, i didn't notice is at I watch all the episodes with lights off. I loved the pacing, the way the story was weaved in and out of battle scenes (most shows are horrible at this, where all there is is battle, and very little story at the beginning and end), also the sountrack was on point, I did not want the episode to end.

OT: Better Call Saul is an awesome show, can't wait for it to come back on the air in 2 years :yuno:

In episode 1 of season 8 when Jon meets arya again at the tree, she did the same thing, jon asked her how she was able to sneak up on him but no explanation. probably something she learned from jaqen. I'm also wondering how she does it.

Because it's a dumb fantasy show. It'll have some irrelevant plot holes...

68style 05-03-2019 10:46 PM

Also at the time of the courtyard scene the ice dragon had severe injuries and was leaking blue flame out of its neck everywhere, it’s feasible that the power of his blue flame was much less at that point than the concentrated healthy blasts he was capable of when not injured.

SkinnyPupp 05-04-2019 07:41 AM

There ya go, plot hole fixed LUL

He had half a face and his blast was like a scatter shot than a focus beam..

The whole scene in the Winterfell library was essentially foreshadow of how she was going to get close to the Night King. Using her stealthy skills. The NK can see everything the Wights see, he thought he would be protected, unfortunately he didn't notice her till it was too late.
