cersei dying by rubble, what
the whole NK arc done in 1 ep
arya with the plot armor, how she still alive after all that
anti-air with precise aim in 1 ep, turns to stormtroopers on the next

lol fucking crave charged me another month.

I thought I cancelled the subscription right after I signed up, but apparently I only cancelled the "HBO" part. the crave part was seperate o well only $11

my guess for the ending :

Danerys tries to have Drogon burn Jon but his Targaryen immunity to fire kicks in and everyone who’s left sees he’s the true heir to the throne.
Arya Kills Danerys
Sansa becomes queen

the synopsis after the episode explained why she made it personal

Man some people like to nitpick. I just enjoy the entertainment. Sure I’ve questioned things along the way but then I just carry on, forget about it and continue to watch.

Yes, it seems rushed now but I’d guess that’s the studios decision, perhaps with feedback from people who work on set and don’t love the long days. This show is a beast. I’d imagine the writers everyone is complaining about would prefer to ride this cash cow as long as they could in their comfy work environments.

A reddit user leaked what was gonnna happen in EP 4/5/6 about a week ago and got 95% right about the plot in EP 4/5. Apparently they filmed multiple endings for the series finale to throw off people so no source or user is confident as of now.

Production cost is the main factor for why they couldn't extend this show into more seasons. Hell, they even reduced it from the normal 10 episodes to 8, remember?

HBO has said time and time again that they had no issue giving D&D whatever they needed to fully complete the story in terms of money or resources. It's D&D's own arrogance in thinking they could do it in abbreviated seasons that has ruined an otherwise excellent show

Think about it for a second. This is HBO'S cash cow, so they had no reason to end it so quickly. There's a reason that they have 4 GoT spin offs being produced after news of the show ending came out

punkwax 05-13-2019 09:46 PM

^ unless the spinoffs have been proposed to be done with cheaper talent, sets etc. Then HBO can look at this from a profit margin perspective and encourage them to end GOT ASAP.

Many, many, flaws in the previous episode, but Dany’s Character has definitely remained consistent. She’s actually never shown any extraordinary traits of leadership throughout the series, and has essentially relied entirely on her advisers to govern.

A reddit post I came across perfectly highlighted how Dany’s actions in the last episode were completely consistent with her character.

Spoiler!

It's funny how everyone is a critic nowadays.

If this show came out 10 years ago, people would find no faults, it always makes me laugh how much we take for granted the level of quality in TV shows nowadays.

Episode was alright to me, not as terrible as the nerds are portraying it on YouTube.

My only main letdown is that I've been waiting the entire series to see Sersei killed in the most brutal way possible, instead she dies to a damn rock pillar. What a letdown.

Maybe she's still alive, and gets captured next episode?

And even dumber to be trying to stir shit up right before the battle against Cersei. What the hell would have happened if Jon said he wanted the throne... not like he'd win against Dany or Cersei by himself. This issue would make way more sense to leave until after the battle.

:suspicious:

He didn't just tell Jon that Jon would be a good king, he tried to poison Daenerys in the beginning of the episode.

CivicBlues 05-14-2019 10:48 AM

Yeah everyone is way too critical. Is the plot a bit rushed? Sure. Are the characters we grew to love acting in a somewhat contrary manner? Perhaps. But we just watched a feature length episode where a freaking dragon laid waste to a real life city (Dubrovnik, Croatia) - with some CGI help of course. I don't know, but that's worth the fucking price of admission alone.

Why would the new spinoffs have any effect on HBO wanting to end the seasons asap when the spinoff news didn't hit until after D&D announced abbreviated season 7 and 8?

Yes...:suspicious: Because dragons burning down cities is what made GOT great.

You are correct though, these episodes are still entertaining.

68style 05-14-2019 08:41 PM

^ Or is it what made GoT great again? :troll:

News can be withheld until convenient to release.. not saying that’s the case here but from a business prospective, spinning off 4 more profitable shows would make sense. Business is business.

68style 05-15-2019 07:34 AM

Some of the actors won't want to... I recall reading as part of Season 8 filming that Kit Harrington said he couldn't wait for it to end and he was so done with the show.

That said, he could change his tune pretty fast when his fat paycheques aren't rolling in anymore and he realizes he's forever typecast as Jon Snow lol

SkinnyPupp 05-15-2019 07:56 AM

GoT actors seem to have little problems getting jobs elsewhere, even where it really doesn't fit (like Emilia Clarke in a Terminator movie BrokeBack )

Or X-men LOL.

SkinnyPupp 05-15-2019 08:22 AM

Reserving my judgement of Sansa as Dark Phoenix... It might actually work!

68style 05-15-2019 12:14 PM

Richard Madden hasn't done much...

Though his new-ish Bodyguard show is apparently pretty good

CivicBlues 05-15-2019 12:29 PM

Kit Harington plays Jon Snow in Pompeii :lol

highfive 05-15-2019 03:56 PM

Solid half million dollars per episode vs tickets sales % from movies?

Jon and Emlia got paid $3mil this season.
