Hand chopping is obviously in the book, a knight like Jamie is obviously important to have his sword hand! Lol
Also the song at the end is the same that the men without banners were singing on their horses, a bear and maiden fair or whatever it's sung like a hundred times In the books

For a group with such a long history, I'm surprised to see how quick the Men of the Knight's Watch quickly turned on each other. It seems so implausible, to turn on one another over hunger and cold. Haven't their loyalties been tested over far worse conditions?

If I recall correctly, alot of the knight's watch are criminals. 
So it makes perfect sense that they would turn on each other at some point.

Epic ending (though I knew what would happen from the book... but the depiction of it, in video format, was stunning... what with the Unsullied marching out...).
Can't wait for Mr. Martin's NEXT book.
