spark plug gap

i have a 97 acura 3.0cl and i bough ngk single platnum spark plugs (if it even matters what kinda plugs i have)
Does the gap for spark plugs differ per car or plug size or brand??
what is the gap i am suppost to use for my car.
I bought a spark plug gap wire gauge. The plugs are already preset but i am curious anyways, where i can get that information or if anyone already knows.

Thanks
