I hold doors for people all the time and they give me the "You some weirdo?" look. They never hold the door for anyone. I shop there at least once a week if not 2 or 3. I even ran into Installerz one day. I guess he shops there, too. Anyway, I'm starting to get used to the body contact and general rudeness. I guess I should not behave like them in hopes that if enough people show good ol' Canadian courtesy, they may learn a thing or two, but wtf? When in Rome, do as the Romans do. | lol i live in richmond and i actually find that while on non-sale days ppl in the mall act like dicks, its actually nommore dick-like than other malls. when theres a sale tho everyone says fuck it to driving safely, walking properly and manners. also on that note, i find metrotown THE most annoying. rude chinese ppl are bad, but teenagers who think theyre tony montana are the worst breed of scum-douche in existance.
lastly, i get way more "holy its all asian ppl" thoughts when in east van, than in richmond or anywhere else. richmond has almost as many brown ppl as chinese and u see white ppl once in a while as well. in east van tho (obviously in certain parts only) its not necessarily just chinese, but def almost entirely south asian. in fact i once knew a girl who was born and grew up near strathcona area and she never even knew any brown ppl til 2008. she was a dumb thunder cunt tho so maybe thats why. Chris Taylor thought he had Boxing Day all figured out. He scoped out a Yamaha home theatre system a week in advance on redflagdeals.com, and showed up at Best Buy at 5:45 a.m. for the Gatecrasher special.
"The lineup was already around the building. The front, the side, the back, around front again. It was very odd to drive down deserted streets and then see everyone circling Best Buy," said Taylor.
The self-described "flyer hound" was given a number: 425.
Boxing Day lineups at Best Buy start, on average, three hours before the 6 a.m. opening, but the lineup had already started to form Saturday night.
By the time Taylor got into the store, 11 of the 12 systems Best Buy had guaranteed would be in stock were gone.
He got lucky, and walked out with the last one.
"The really smart people were online on December 24th," he said, which is when Best Buy's online sale went live. "But some of us would rather have snacks with friends and family on that night."
In the end, he got the system that will be "basically the centre of the universe" and saved nearly 50 per cent.

I'm truly surprised there were that many people in line. The sales were really not that compelling and I think retail sales figures will reflect that.

this year really just felt like a tradition to go out to a packed mall and wait in line ups... really doesnt have the same feel as past years where you could regularly find hot deals

When I saw this thread on Christmas Day that sales had started Christmas Eve I was like WTF? That's retarded, who's lame enough to be searching for deals Christmas Eve? Oh wait... unless they don't celebrate Christmas, then they can do as they please.

Kev | I agree. The best deals are usually on the lowest end model lines, like that 60" sharp for 1399. You'll never see the high end gear at doorcrasher prices. I'm personally not one to be content with low end gear. Posted via RS Mobile |

Posted via RS Mobile | well isnt it kind of obvious? the ones that look into high end gear knows about the product and is willing to pay a premium for the product, while the ones that look into low end gear dont care much about the product other than price.

its like anything
Vokey golf wedges -never- go on sale because they sell enough at full price and the people buying them know what they are getting
Shaw doesnt give away a PVR, Xbox360, and a laptop with their service because they know they provide a higher quality service than Telus
The best deal on TV's hands down was about 1.5 years ago on red flag deals, 46" Pioneer Elite Kuro clearouts by pioneer going for $1600 a peice, regret not picking one up but that deal blew all these low end TV's out of the fucking water and you didnt have to line up
