In no particular order:

Alleluia, Lido, and I'm going to go with Deer Garden.

Kam Do upped the quality of their milk tea recently so I'll throw them in there for honourable mention. I always get my milk tea half sweet.

Lido is a rip off. Charges like $4 for a cold milk tea and the cup is hella small too with half of it full of ice and if u tell them to add less ice, they'll start giving you attitude

*this is without a meal of course

Typically you can't. Each restaurant has their own blend of teas making it unique.

Best one in HK IMO is Tai Hing. Although I haven't been back since it turned into a huge chain restaurant, so I'm not sure if it's still good. Last time I went, it was really good

btw I see a lot of people listing bubble tea places... which kind are you talking about when you say 'milk tea'? For me, that has always meant the HK kind, and the Taiwanese kind was 'bubble tea' even without the bubbles. For me, it means it's just a powdered tea drink, and not very good.

It's a bit of a mixed bag here. A lot of places now serve Taiwanese style milk tea which IMO tastes like garbage. A majority of the places listed in this thread however serve an HK style milk tea.
