I haven't been to kam do in a while, but I found theirs to be strongest, just imo.
Agreed with the rest: lido, deer garden are pretty good as well, in terms of milk tea and not bubble tea.

Okay, since it was mentioned.... where can you get really good egg tarts?
The best ones I've ever had were at the Kirin Seafood Restaurant, where they don't have them on the menu and you have to be a lucky patron in the restaurant when they are passing around trays of them until they are sold out..... I LOVE EGG TARTS!!!
So if anyone knows any really good ones that are a regular menu item somewhere, I'd appreciate the info!!

The ones at Fortune House are pretty close, but the crust isn't exactly the same 
My gf's parents and their friends all seem to be enamoured with Anna's. I am not a fan of the crumbly type of crust, so I don't like them at all. Quote:

3 years later and multiple chances given, they've become undercooked and soggy. Not what they used to be | |

It's really close to milk tea…but try the place beside Richmond Sushi. It is a Taiwanese restaurant…
Jasmine Tea + Whip Cream (mix the whip cream in…it taste similar to milk tea but doesn't have the powdery taste to it)

I will no longer have milk tea (and egg tarts) in Vancouver, the egg tarts in HK were so creamy, smooth and aromatic! I didn't even know they could be made like that! The ones in Vancouver don't even compare, they taste like week old jello...

I miss HK milk tea and egg tarts so much ... 
So far Lido comes the closest IMO, and if you're lucky ...grab an egg tart fresh from the oven. its pretty close to a sub par one in hk

Lido and Angel Cafe are my picks when I head over there for a HK breakfast.
When I was in chinatown in NYC, their milk tea was Lipton tea bag with lots of evaporated milk in a paper cup at a bakery shop. completely different. but it was $0.80 a cup

theres a place ontop of TnT on uh first and renfrew. a noodle place that sells pretty good milktea. i like it there at etea its pretty good. at the place across the street golden oscar. their milk tea is bitter
