wait, isnt the cpu fan installed pointing the wrong direction?

and he also has the harddrive opened for a window, i wouldnt trust it for data anymore since dust is likely in there now.

twitchyzero 12-23-2010 09:50 AM

i think there's a glass coveirng the HDD window..i think the window looks cool

hopefully everyone does at least a little bit of research when spending $1k on a used computer.

wasabisashimi 12-23-2010 10:58 AM

just to point out that he may have spent $2000 on that machine in 2003, that doesnt make $1100 reasonable in 2010.

yes i know theres a piece of glass, plexi glass to be exact, covering the HDD, but in order to put a piece of plexi there, u'll need to cut up the hdd metal cover and glue a piece of plexi there, and in order to cut up the metal cover, one will need to open up the hdd, meaning dust and shit will get inside once its opened.

cool factor yes, functionality no.

i don't know who would pay for this used computer. if you throw in another hundred or two, you would get a brand new computer with WAY better specs than that.

^god like computer for the year of 2000 lol hahaha....

Soundy 12-23-2010 12:05 PM

Dude, there's at least $250 worth of fans in that thing!

FerrariEnzo 12-23-2010 01:36 PM

put some filters to cover the fans... i know this would rescued airflow going in, but way better then have the insides covered with dust!

that CPU is nifty, i can see that theres sorta like an elbow-like tubbing that connects the fan to the cpu heatsink!

tegz 12-23-2010 02:06 PM

Someone troll this guy now and post e-mails!!!!!!

ForbiddenX 12-23-2010 05:17 PM

That case looks pretty ugly too lol. $1100 can get you a beast of a computer right now.

underscore 12-23-2010 05:28 PM

"I would be more than happy to see this computer go to a good home as I put more than 200 hours of work into building it, however I'm in Edmonton at the moment and don't arrive back till the 27th. I know you have your heart set on having it 'under the tree' so to speak but there's no way i can get it to you before then. If i took $100 off the price, do you think your son would mind it a few days late? I can even hand deliver it myself if you like.
"

I'm gunna see if I can get him to dress up in a Santa Clause costume and meet me and my "son" at a Starbucks some where. Dunno how the fuck it would take 200 hours to build that shit...

JesseBlue 12-23-2010 07:02 PM
