nando 12-23-2010 09:57 AM

getting her a Garmin w255 its durt cheap at Walmart right now..

lol not as meaningful as i would like but def usful and cheap. lol

TheNewGirl 12-23-2010 10:04 AM

Dear god, shouldn't you have thought about this a week ago?

What does your girl friend do / like? What's her hobbies and interests? If she's into make up you could get her a $100 gift certificate for Sephora and she can pick her own stuff.

!Yaminashi 12-23-2010 10:05 AM

Damn talk about waiting till the last minute..

If you're crafty try making something in your spare time. I'm sure that will rank high in the "meaningful" column. Definitely more meaningful than almost anything you can buy in a mall.

gdoh 12-23-2010 10:11 AM

^paper origami stars or cranes filled in a jar

Araaadi 12-23-2010 10:58 AM

Isn't there any little thing your girlfriend mentioned she likes or wants but never got around to getting it? Little things like that makes the most meaninful gifts. Even if its something stupid. Like my gf mentioned she wanted a black and white picture of the eiffel tower for her room, and when I got it for her she was soo happy and surprised I remember because she mentioned it when we first started to date. Iuno that's just my opinion

:fuckyea:

Euro7r 12-23-2010 11:11 AM

Damn Spa packages are expensive like fuck. $100buxs for like hour and half. Can't even make $100 in an hour and half of work. Ridiculous.

Matlock 12-23-2010 01:24 PM

Check out groupon. There are spa and some hotel stuff too.

If I'm not working, I'm with the lady, so I am very limited on alone time to shop.
I got the 1 night at winery resort thing in osooyoos. Should be a good trip.

$120 only?
buy her a bit more expensive gift, she will like it more than spending a day or night with her alone.

Okami 12-23-2010 07:56 PM

the more useless the item to you.. the more she will like it.. if you buy her a gps or mp3 player.. since its useful she will hate it.. if you buy her make up she'll hate it cuz cuz she'll accuse you of thinking she is ugly.. just get her some useless sparkly crap (ie diamond, jewelry) or a stuffed animal XD

SwiftStriker 12-23-2010 11:27 PM

tiffany and co. or a juicy necklace

insomniac 12-24-2010 12:44 AM

I went quantity > quality.
Instead of buying her a expensive piece of jewelry (that can give one the impression you just walked into a store and picked it up) I bought her a scarf, gloves (different colors. Like $1 each lol) matching hoodie I already have LOL, a cute cardigan, earrings and a few accessories.. Went to the dollar store and got a really pretty box to put the stuff inside, wrapped the box with wrapping paper and ribbons. Put a letter/card at the bottom of the box. (save the best for last) write something cheesy lol. The card costs a dollar and did magic last year. Total costed me around 80ish.
Have a shopping list in mind and know where to go. Forever21 has really cheap yet pretty stuff and old navy has simple stuff (scarfs) but 30% at checkout when you give them your email

If you want to get her something pretty get her a makeup set at sephora (limited edition doir collection) for like 60$.. Good luck!

EDIT

^Nice man, thats a good approach to Christmas on a budget! I also try to give a few small gifts if I need to shop on a budget. One of the reasons I find it works really well is that it shows you put in lots of effort, going to a few different stores, thinking of lots of different things, wrapping a lot of small presents.. these types of things make them happy.

winson604 12-24-2010 05:41 AM

If she smokes buy her a carton lol

noTirl 12-24-2010 09:01 AM

Have you thought about getting your girlfriend a dyson vacuum cleaner? You could always help her cooking experience with some new pots and pans.

Well if she is going to be cleaning anyways....might as well get her something that will help get the job done quicker and more efficient.
