Snowboard Demo?

So I'm thinking of buying this season's snowboard this coming summer at a deep discount (as they usually go down in price).

However, before I decide on which board, i'd like to try some of them out. I tried Google and apparently I could demo boards up in Whistler, but has anyone tried demo-ing boards locally? if so, which company does it? thanks.

They have Demo's at Seymour and Cypress all the time. You just have to check out the calendar for the local mountains and it should tell you. They will have different sponsors coming not the same ones all the time.

Depending on what board brand you're after, you can call local shops to rent (with your rental going towards purchase) any of their decks.

I know for a fact that the boardroom demos a few brands.

Really worth considering making the trip up to whistler and taking advantage of the on hill FREE demo that's available.

That's how my gf demo'd the burton flying v style of board. The cost is perfect and they have a wide variety of sizes, models and brands you can choose from

Care to share where you're getting these boards at discounted prices?

Saw a Burton stand on grouse the other day.

If you are asking about how to get demo boards at discount prices. Reps will usually sell their demo boards at the end of the season or beginning of next season. Some rep will just give their stuff away to friends or larger accounts.

end of season, or OFF season clearance sale, most retail stores sell their gear for a pretty hefty discounted price.

kinda like buying a car that's been sitting on a lot from the previous year.

your best bet is the sample sales that are held via distribution companies, and or sales reps.

THOSE are hefty discounted ticket items.

During the summer all the stores clear up space for the coming season's stuff...

So if you're looking at a $800 board for this season, it would probably be $5-600 this July.

Alternatively you can shop online, such as Tight Boards and Pro Board Shop (same company)
