Never did whistler for my bday, but nothing much will top Vegas. It's cheap to go right now!

Jeeeez...my 30th birthday was like a hundred years ago....

Can't go wrong with Brandy's. ;)

Guy_LikeWhoa 01-03-2011 02:24 PM

Dirty Thirty. The twenties are gone. :\

That being said, no clubs. Clubbing is for kids in their 20s. You're an adult now. Go rent a private room at your favorite restaurant and have a party there. Get some top shelf booze, appies or steaks all around. The restaurant will love it, and your friends will love it since its hard to get everyone in the same club. I think RS has some restaurant sponsers, hit them up.

That also being said, some people say 30 is the new 20. We're more mature, we have more money and we're experienced. So you don't really need too much advice on what to do. You already know what you want to do. You've had atleast 10 birthdays already where you are of legal age.

Happy Birthday you old bastard. You're 30 now. :fuckyea:

I've done Whistler a number of times and it never get's old. So zip lineing in the day time, Hey bungee jumping is close as well. A nice dinner in the evening and then to a club for the party at night.

I was talking this over with my friend during the summer - we want to have a massive birthday trip when we turn 30 - get a whole bunch of people out to France or somewhere, all meet at a vacation home/mansion/castle. But I know that everybody will be settled into their careers/lives - but a man can dream.

I agree with adambomb though - if you're staying local, go to a nice restaurant.

Exactly what i was going to suggest, we did the same thing for new years and it was great for 40 people. You can usually bring your own booze, and play your own music. And if its all dudes you can even hire your own stripper.

Once you've been to strip clubs in Vegas, or heck even in Montreal (where anything goes for far less money than Vegas), Brandi's is child's play by comparison.

Btw, Brandi's has changed owners, but it's still open.

We once had a friend served with a fake paternity suit for his 30th... :troll:

ya fantasy land is definitely way cooler than real life.

what adambomb suggestee sounds pretty awesome. BUT for that amount of money you could hire 50 private strippers. ditch the food and venue and make the call.

Thanks for the wishes and ideas guys .. I honestly don't feel like I'm 30..I'm exactly the same as I was when I 20...the only diff is the bigger paychecks and a smaller but closer circle of friends..

I might do a party limo to granville..go club then get shitfaced and cab it back home ..I'm gonna skip the strippers and hotel cuz the gf won't be too happy ..

Another friend, his ex-wife kept blowing the rent and bills money on bingo and lotto tickets, then telling him shit like the "kids flushed it down the toilet"... so for his 30th birthday, we made a fake cover for the ol' BC Lotteries' "Luck Magazine" with his ex's picture and a big headline, "I PLAYED MY BINGO NUMBERS AND WON THE 6/49". Then at another party, we had a few friends pass it around, making sure to let him catch the odd glimpse of the cover... he finally got ahold of it and went through the whole thing looking for the story... TOTALLY had him going :)

My friends were discussing plans for a bday party and we decided on a hockey game, drinking and strippers. My gf chimes in and goes, " Cool but get a hot one - I'm not chipping in for some ugly bitch!"
