Zhangfei believes that everything China touches is gold. Despite this new tower being a fake or an imitation I expect him to say things like "China will learn from the mistakes made by the Burj Khalifa and make a better tower" or similar pro-China jingoistic bullshit.
i feel quite the opposite...and japan does it 100x better. I guess you can't compare the two as the latter didn't go through a cultural revolution and wiped out a good chunk of its antiques.

The billion dollar question now is: are China's policies and growth sustainable over the long term? I think every person today (esp. young people) could devote substantial time studying the phenomena that is modern China. Not only is it possibly the most historic happening and thus impact for the next hundred years; it's also a extremely fascinating case study.

I disagreed with that. I was actually appalled to be honest and I hoped nothing like that would ever happen again. You on the other hand tried to, while not justifying it (but really justifying it), explain why the settlers were shot and killed.

As I stated, I don't mind construction in big settelments to continue because we all know they are going to be absorbed into Israel in any future peace deal. But if you read that, I stated that I personally think that the small settlements should be under construction freeze and new ones shouldn't be allowed to form, since they will be dismantled under a peace negotiation. You're such a sensationalist buddy. I am against settlements and am for a two state solution. I don't understand why you're making up shit.
