Do you work better stoned too? Maybe you should show up for school or work after smoking a bowl and you'll be more productive. After your munchies wear off, that is. I sure hope you have a better plan for your future.. if an employer of yours finds out you're driving company vehicles while under the influence of drugs... well, good luck there buddy! |

Great, he drives at the speed limit when he is stoned. Perhaps if we have fewer cops running speed traps and more looking for erratic behaviour they could take more stoned drivers off the road? |
A quote from one of the "supporting studies"...he gave Overall, it is possible to conclude that cannabis has a measurable effect on psychomotor performance, particularly tracking ability. Its effect on higher cognitive functions, for example divided attention tasks associated with driving, appear not to be as critical. Drivers under the influence of cannabis seem aware that they are impaired, and attempt to compensate for this impairment by reducing the difficulty of the driving task, for example by driving more slowly. In terms of road safety, it cannot be concluded that driving under the influence of cannabis is not a hazard, as the effects of various aspects of driver performance are unpredictable. However, in comparison with alcohol, the severe effects of alcohol on the higher cognitive processes of driving are likely to make this more of a hazard, particularly at higher blood alcohol levels |
plain and simple anything you ingest will have some factor in your driving abilities. IE too much caffeine gets me jiddery as fuck so you may think you drive really good while your stoned, but wait one day you will either crash(think rear end or intersection cause you decided to go straight when it was left advance) or better yet have the car/yourself being stanky and get a 24 hr and so on, and then you'll never be able to drive for a company using there vehicle |
Let's not forget that drugs and alcohol affect how you perceive things, one of which is how well you drive. |
so my question still stands if i get pulled over and i tell the officer i just had a joint, he cant do anything? |
If you get pulled over and tell the officer you just shot someone, do you think he'd do anything? |

Nope...if there is evidence of posession & consumption of an illegal substance then they are entitled to enter investigations. You may be impaired, you have admitted to consumption and there may be grounds to see if you have any more on you. You just told the Cop that you have consumed an illegal subtance that will impair you and he should at least investigate you. "Impairment" does not mean falling down drunk or so stoned you count knuckle hairs for 3 hours at atime while giggling...it means any degree of impairment. –verb (used with object) 1. to make or cause to become worse; diminish in ability, value, excellence, etc.; weaken or damage: to impair one's health; to impair negotiations. –verb (used without object) 2. to grow or become worse; lessen. " |
from my experience as soon as you admit they will give you a 24 hr suspension and tow/impound car |

If the Cop had have been me or Skidmark in a general situation like was outlined, I believe we would have done what I said above....but we are not in posession of all the facts, nor were we there at the time, so I will not pass judgement on the officer's decision. |
This thread reminds me of all the raves that take place at the Pacific Colosseum where playland is. TONS of people just start driving home at 6-9 am after a night of no sleep and heavy drug consumption, yet none of the cops that patrol the event seem to care. Is it because it would be hard to prove someone is under the effects of drugs, specifically MDMA after this event? |
I didn't need to be blasted at Pac Playgrounds...2 trips on the wooden coaster made me stagger, dizzy and want to puke...plus it's 100% legal.:) |
^^ :failed: hes talking about the raves that go on all night. |
Same place, different ride...same voimit? |
Hahaha. Yeah was talking about the raves from 10 pm - 8 am at the arena near PNE where people drive home after doing ketamine, ecstasy, and god knows what else. |
All times are GMT -8. The time now is 11:52 PM. |
