But I guess if all you hear is garbage most of the time, you either get used to it or you start to believe that that's all there is. By the way, you're free to always argue against this, but don't use how much money they make to support your argument. Just because he makes millions doesn't mean shit. |
His name is Radric Davis ^ ... Quote:
I've been listening to him since 06 (before hardly being famous), he just makes trap style music.. that's why it 'is' different then mainstream. his last video without that tattoo. BRRRR |

Therefore Gucci Mane and this basshunter you are talking about, have a niche of fans who like their music. To say you don't like them is your opinion. To say people should not listen to them is you being a tight-assed idiot and telling others what to do. |
Is it good music for clubbing/partying/driving? Yes. Is it good music as a whole? No. I've got his latest cd on my ipod and it sucks. Other than Gucci Time and another all the songs were terrible. I wasn't expecting great quality music when I d/l'd it but music which sounds good and I'll play while I drive. He's just one of those rappers who in 5 years people won't remember. I am guessing you are probably early 20's or something and going to University? Every 21 year old going to University thinks they have such amazing tastes, listening to underground indie bands that nobody's ever heard of, and that everything else is garbage. When you grow up you will realize that it is just wasted calories, and all you're doing is being a pretentious dick. Enjoy what you enjoy, let other people enjoy what they enjoy, in peace. And if you're not early 20's in University, then that's just sad because you haven't grown out of that phase and you just come off as a smarmy pretentious dick. |

Therefore money = popularity = good music to some people. |
I disagree somewhat. Music people like =/= good music. Just because some people like McDonalds, doesn't mean it's good. Same with Jersey Shore. Not saying whether Gucci Mane is good music or not, since I am not familiar with rap and what quantifies 'good' rap. However, arguing whether it's good or not is wasted energy IMHO. People enjoy it, so let them. People can have good taste and listen to "good" music but still enjoy listening to "bad" music. At the same time, people can have bad taste, and listen to the same "bad" music, but THINK it's good. In the latter case, it doesn't affect you, so why bother pointlessly trying to convince people otherwise, especially since all it does is make people think you're a dick. |

Gucci Mane is if you haven't heard good music. It's like when youre a child born to a poor family and all you have is a stick and play in the mud with it and have no idea that Nintendo or Play Station exist. |
But that music is boring... especially Jay Z. Gucci's music goes hard as fuck cuzz. |
