My list was in no order at all. When I think of any good music, a huge variety of artists comes up. Just because I mentioned them later does not indicate that those artists are of lesser talent.

Music should incite, inspire, calm, cheer up, make you feel good, make you dance, or just sit and relax.. whatever.

Listening to a person named Gucci Mane, who I dare not compare to a monkey, out of respect for the monkeys, who sounds like he gave one too many blowjobs in prison.. say random things into the mic behind a decent beat is not music.

Music , as of late, has been pretty bad.. mainstream music mainly..

Just like hollywood movies, who make money regardless of how they do at the box office, because of all the add-placements that they do.. and we pay for these shitty movies.. and they don't want us to share "illegally"..

I don't download bad music either, and i refuse to listen to this crap.

but come on. just off the top of my head i can think of artists that could blow them out of the water. for example marvin gaye, curtis mayfeild, james brown, al green, ray charles, stevie wonder, bob marley, the rolling stones, the beatles, the doors, led zepplien etc.

It's too easy to go back in time and pick out the best of certain eras and forget the truly horrible stuff. You know ur getting old when this happens!

When you listen to a lot of music, you dig deep: no shit some of the stuff you listen to aren't going to be classics. If you're not digging hard to find some obscure stuff, ur probably not much of a music fan anyway.

No one will remember who Gucci Mane is in 10 yrs. No one here is pretending otherwise. I'm saying this and I don't even like the guy!

Music is subjective and anything that's sold gold or better is pretty hard to argue against, because there's at least 500,000 people that dig it.

ITT: People who think say that have "good music taste", then listens to bands that no one will know in ten years.

Sorry, but nothing comes close today to matching stuff like "Beat It". There's so much autotune and annoying synth in today's songs, vocal talent doesn't exist anymore.
